I have a friend in Kharkiv, Ukraine. He's a musician/composer and has a syndicated radio show across Europe. I'm amazed at how he can do this with all that's going around him, but he does. Mixing a great new project for my good friend, Frank Marino from Scalea. Frank is a master bass player and tours with a lot of groups in Europe. He composed and played almost all the tracks on this project. Should be released soon.

Here's the tale of the little song that could. When I was putting together King of the Valley - John Mirani's album, this song got dropped from the lineup twice because its a rough demo, made to send to the musicians who would record the song, which never happened. Something about it kept making me put it back into the lineup, so I put it last on the album and forgot it. When the album was released, it never got promoted like the others, no attention at all. Now 5 months later its the most played song from the album on Spotify. It consistently gets over 5 times more plays than the next popular song. it dosen't have a proper chorus, no production, its long, but I think the raw emotion in the performance that reinforces the lyrics touches people and speaks to them. So glad I left it on the final album.

Congrats to Tom Faia & Kate Miller #1. I've seen the tremendous growth these two have experienced over the course of three CDs. This third "Stay Away From the Flame" has been the high point so far.
