Lovely concert at St Lawrence Jewry last night with a programme of Bach, Harmer and Rachmaninoff by Mihai Ritivoiu. Organised by The Musicians' Company, The Lord Mayor of London, Alderman Alastair King DL presented the Lord Mayor's Composition Prize to Will Harmer for his composition, 'Fire Dance'.

In Memorium Valentin who died in 2008 in Moscow. He was the in the outstanding Borodin Quartet for 64 years and played at 's and 's funeral on the same day in 1953 being paid for neither. The Quartet boldly championed the music of and during the Soviet era.
