"One glowing storefront caught her eye, its windows twinkling with holiday scenes.

She hurried over, pressing her cold hands to the warm glass pane. Inside, cases glittered with treasures just begging to be explored.

Scanning past festive villages and candy mountains, something else caught her eye - snow globes, lined in rows. Her face lit up at the miniature worlds trapped beneath glass.

Unable to resist, Emily pushed open the shop door, sighing as heat wrapped around her.

She made a beeline for the snow globes, scanning the whirling flakes with glee until one particular snowy scene drew her near.

"It’s like a snow-covered bubble," she whispered. As if hearing, sparkling flecks inside the snow globe floated thick and fast in reply.

At once, as if by their own direction, the girl felt her hands lift the snowy sphere from its resting place and draw it toward her.

"Hello, friend," a gentle voice echoed in her mind. "Would you like to visit our wintry world?" Emily looked around. No one stood near enough to speak.

Brows knitting momentarily, she found her attention pulled again through the glass, looking in at frosted turrets with longing.

Suddenly, her fingertips began to tingle strangely as the snow globe grew warm in her hands...."
