“I focused on how my clients wanted to live in their new space — and also wanted the space to be able to grow with them. They have a large family and entertaining is important, but I also wanted to provide conversation areas that felt intimate. It’s quite a challenge when you have an open-concept floor plan, so we anchored the conversation areas with rugs and furniture groupings that flowed together seamlessly.”

“Sometimes I have a strong gut instinct on how I think the space will evolve, but it is always an organic journey based on the client and how they live. For this picturesque mountain home, I wanted to use a textured palette verses a true color palette. I went with natural stones like tavertines, natural wood, and stone tile, all of which cool undertones to create texture in every detail. I feel this project best represents my personal styles most closely with the soft tones and different textures, which also reflect the environment.”

The homeowner was over the moon about the property, which he had just purchased and was relocating from Dallas to Santa Fe to fulfill a lifelong dream.”

“Montana is a special place. For this project, our client was inspired by flyfishing, and the unique opportunities for the sport most notably found here. The homeowner wanted a place in which they could retreat while feeling completely immersed in the breathtaking landscape surrounding the residence. Because it’s located on a beautiful piece of property in a windswept valley, we had to give special consideration to the design and integrity of the exterior furniture and lighting as it needed to withstand strong winds.”

“In this Denver residence, we laid out the first floor as the ‘entertaining mecca.’ The living room is central to the home and is a warm, open and light-filled space that leads into the outdoor living space. The homeowners have an extensive collective of artwork, and it was a designer s dream to work with and around these inspiring pieces. The furnishings, rugs and case goods are all neutral tones of oatmeal with varying textures.”

While architecture itself does not have to dictate a specific direction, it’s important to consider a home’s inherent features and style during the design phase. Very poignantly, art and accessories can truly bring a space to life and complete it. A room without these well-placed details can fall flat, regardless of the furnishings and color.”
