Anonymous NBA source says LeBron and Steph Curry will never team up per Sam Amico:

“Did (unnamed TV analyst) really say something about LeBron and Steph teaming up someday? That will never happen. In fact, they will never be on the same team again. Cool Olympic run for sure. But those two as teammates is over for all eternity.”

BREAKING: 2x NBA Champion Kevin Durant has invested in PSG through his Boardroom Sports Holdings, LLC via Arctos Partners, the strategic minority investor in the club.

Further details to be announced shortly.

Earlier this month, Paris Saint-Germain President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi welcomed Durant and his long-time business partner, entrepreneur Rich Kleiman, to the Paris Saint-Germain Campus to kick off the partnership with a visit to the Club’s state-of-the-art training facility and education centre.

They witnessed first-hand how the Club’s values of innovation and excellence are embodied in this new environment, where Paris Saint-Germain is nurturing the stars of tomorrow.

They also spent time with Paris Saint-Germain’s professional football teams, with a particular focus on the women’s and youth academy teams – areas of strong interest for him both in terms of sport and investment.

Durant and Kleiman’s sports and entertainment media network Boardroom will work with Paris Saint-Germain to develop a multi-faceted collaboration that spans content and strategy.

Happy birthday James Okajah - Gboko City Chiefs Basketball Klay Thompson.

Extremely young, but he ventures into the game early enough and his indefatigable work ethics has made him soar above his peers.

His shooting ability is second to none and no bad day with the kid. One of the finest shooters the 2023 NBBF Leagues saw and the anticipation is more in the coming as the "Lighter" will seek to light up/out the arena.

More fruitful years.

Playing against the world's no 1 was a tough nut to crack. The girls didn't go out without a fight; they went down swinging.

The first African team (male inclusive) to advance to the quarter final stage in an Olympics. They deserve a thunderous round of applause.

We are proud of y'all.

The D'Tigress will play the USA basketball team at the quarter final of the 2024 Olympics. It is no longer news that the determined and purpose - driven Nigerian ladies have already made history in Paris, becoming the first African team - men's or women's - to reach the last eight in Olympic basketball. This feat comes when the beat world's no.3 - Australia and no.5 - Canada.

Suiting up against the USA is a Herculean task as the former showed dominance over the latter in previous encounters.

The United States female players have enjoyed a 58-match winning streak and run of seven consecutive Olympics gold medals and hoping for the 8th. They will want to come out with more fire against the dogged Nigerian side who will also want to cause the biggest upset in sporting history in the world by beating the world's no.1.

The D'Tigress have advanced to a historic quarter finals at the 2024 Olympics in Paris, France. This came after a 9 point win over Canada.

They started well but a tremendous comeback by the Canadians in the second wasn't enough to send a scare to the resilient Nigerian team.

Good fight from the ladies as it is noteworthy to state that this would be the first time the Nigerian team will advance to a quarter final in an Olympics outing.

A vicious Ezinne Kalu led the pack of a brawling D'Tigress to mute their Canadian opponents.

Congratulations!

THE YOUNG SHALL GROW

FAVOUR IKEDINACHUKWU IBE
Many see Favour Ibe as a gentle giant, but his 7-foot frame is a great asset to boost any team. As minister of air defense for the team, he is known to protect the airspace around the rim. On the other hand, he is capable of offending the opponents with devastating dunks that set the upright shaking to its foundation. A in the making if healthy and nurtured we expect him to be a mainstay in the national setup for years to come.

DAUBUNACHULE IBRAHIM DANMUTUM
He is the silent punisher, whose work rate is often underestimated. However, the stats sheet speaks volumes about his offensive and defensive contributions. Ibrahim's role as a combo guard is crucial to the team, as his scoring, playmaking, and defensive skills make him one of the most efficient players on the team. He remains in a class of his own.

Think of greatness, think of Coach Ogoh Odaudu ; this explains why he has the letter 'G' in his name.

As Head Coach of the Rivers Hoopers Basketball Club , he has guided the team to four NBBF Leagues titles.

Hoopers is one of two teams that has represented Nigeria at the Basketball Africa League , twice has the team participated - the inaugural edit and in 2024, which was their elite participation as they came third , slightly missing out on the final. His stellar performance earned him the recognition and award as the best coach in the BAL, 2024 edition.

He recently came back from the NBA Summer League where he was on the coaching crew of the Cleveland Cavaliers .

This gem is a year older today. Happy birthday sir. Thanks for your contributions to basketball's growth and development in Nigeria and beyond.

The Nigeria U-18 boys defeated Ghana in their opening game at the FIBA Africa Zone 3 Qualifiers in Abidjan, Cote D'Ivoire.

The Ghanaians were short-staffed, having only 6 players on their roster. As if that was not bad enough, the team was further hit by problems, forcing them to play 4x5, 3x5, and when they had two men left on court , FIBA rules had to come to play and the game was terminated.

Congratulations!
