I was fortunate to see an Osprey in flight at the end of summer this year at RSPB Leighton Moss. In the coming weeks, these magnificent raptors will begin their migration to West Africa for the winter.

The Buzzard (buteo buteo) might be the UK’s most commonly sighted bird of prey, but that doesn’t make watching them hunt over Mull’s farmlands any less enjoyable.
These photos were taken with the Canon R6 and Sigma 150-600mm lens.

A Razorbill in flight on the waters surrounding the isle of Lunga. The inclement weather and presence of a white tailed eagle made the auks cautious to return to their nesting sites on the island. They spent most of the time I was visiting rafting on the water in safety, occasionally taking to the air. Such a treat to see these wonderful little birds back for spring/summer 24!

I photographed this spectacular White Tailed Eagle a couple of times during her most recent breeding season. She is in her twenties and has coupled with a young male although they have yet to have a successful nest, perhaps due to the males inexperience. It was such a pleasure watching the pair and I look forward to seeing what next spring brings for them. These photos really put my long lens photography skills to the test but I just had to share this beauty with you all!
