In Darien, Connecticut, the only first response emergency medical ambulance service for the last 50 years has been run by….wait for it… high school teenagers?! That’s right. Darien EMS Post 53 Darien EMS - Post 53 is led by a group of teenagers ages 13-18 who respond to more over 1500 emergency calls a year, and is rated one of the top emergency medical services in the county. 🚑
