I am happy, as always, to have had Michael Gerholdt in the studio today. I am blessed to be able to work with so many different people and expand my skills as a producer. New video out today. Another sweet one from Michael Gerholdt. A new original of his, "Long Time Ago", live at Music For Your Mouth in Mayville, NY; recorded on 6-28-24. I would like to thank Karen, Al, and staff for their hospitality and exuberance, as well as their love and support of local music! I really like the warmth that we captured here. The warmth of the evening, when the Summer was just ramping up. I did work long on the video, but ultimately the ambiance is what we are after here. The ambiance and the great music. We have been working together since 2017! I am enjoying my new video editor!

Hello Blogosphere. I am excited to share that we finished and are letting fly Scott's first tune we recorded together. Last night. Surprise session. This was a refreshing project, a real joy to track, and I love my new video editor. This little "Visualizer" turned out pretty sweet for using a flip phone pic. I love the character, the clarity on the fonts and filters.

Surprise session tonight with Scott Maccallum, a local original artist and great guy. We have been moving towards recording for over a year now, and just finally got him in to record a great solo acoustic tune, with an appropriate message. We are looking forward towards working again in the near future!

Surprise! We are letting fly the music video for Rockabilly Steve and BR3's "Lonely Thursday Night." This is the title track off of their latest album. Be sure to check out their live shows and show them some love. Check out their merchandise, including the real vinyl album! I would like to thank Herb Skinner for his great influence on this project, both in guiding me on the video and shooting the album cover. Thank you to Elizabeth Kershaw for being in the video. It really ties it all together. Thanks also to the band for trusting me to do this project. I never thought of myself as a true videographer, rather just using the video aspect as an easy way to promote my recording. So I consider it an honor that someone would think me a good videographer for a song I didn't produce myself (GCR Studios, Buffalo, NY). And a huge thank you goes to the kind folks of the Tavern on the Mall in Forestville for their hospitality and allowing me to vignette their location on a lonely Thursday night in the video. I love what they are doing with the place. I have found some pleasant catharsis lately in spending time in Forestville again and being reacquainted with many friends from school. The great folks who own Caves. I am also happy to share some great new friends in the video. I am all around really happy to have been involved in this project, and it means a lot to me to have something so cool going on at this time in my life. I realized I only released maybe four videos last year. Ouch. As always, thank you all for being interested in my little endeavors all these years already. I still feel like a fifteen-year-old kid, hacking away in the garage. Maybe that's all we ever are.

Surprise! I re-mixed another old project (I am getting to enjoy the catharsis (the third definition) of doing so lately). This one very, very worthy, featuring great tracks from Nicholas Watkins and Paul Graves. And my dad. And my baby-faced ass. Well, tracks. I won't call mine great. The original mix just started to bug me ... And seeing how the five-year anniversary is vastly approaching, it seemed all the more fitting. I can hope but be realistic about the views and feedback the second time around, but regardless, enjoy my new, less annoying? mix.

New Loft video out today. Here is a live recording from She Sings Cafe in Mayville, NY. Recorded May 18th, 2024. We are very proud of this one! Michael Gerholdt's Glenn Campbell inspired arrangement of a tune popularized later by the supergroup, "the Highwaymen," featuring bass from Timm Reasbeck.
