On a Friday night
Seventeenth of June – I
Waited patiently for this moment to arrive
After a long, long time
As I was about to go
The rain started to flow
I took the cab while he sheltered from the rain
On the other side of the road
And he ran up to me like a kid
I was his candygirl
Lookin’ at his puffy eyes
I felt a little less scared
Cause we’re here, there’s no way out
In our secret sinful world
Here we are inside
As he turned on the lights
Tranquilized and scatheless from the doom outside
Warmin’ ourselves up and settling in
Realizing that this is no longer a dream
Oxygen circulating, as we breathed at the same time and –
Then we looked eye to eye
Sighing, there’s my babyboy
Surreal and ethereal
Our silence is the best noise
To cool us down, he grabbed a beer
Sat on the floor, and smoked
While I wrapped myself in the sheets
Couldn’t wait to give him my all
Thunders and dim lights
So encapturing, and resembling my thoughts behind
Just you and I – nourishing one of the best nights of my life
And as the rain simmered
A few hours later
He took the white towel
And went off to shower
Fresh as a daisy, smells like a baby
He came a little closer
Feeling his heartbeat in the dark
I’m opening up to you
Reliving memories and creating new ones
Right here with you
To be continued.
