DJ Millbot is/is not

Starting with two Technics and a small collection of vinyl, since expanding into fully digital DJing, DJ Millbot has been exploring music and building playlists since she was a teenager in the Chicago suburbs desperately seeking house and techno records in the few shops left selling them at the time.

Now located in Madison, WI, Millbot is a DJ who specializes in q***r dance parties, house music, and sometimes forays into darker/industrial fare. She’s also added a substantial collection of and appreciation for early (‘40s-’60s) rock/blues/R&B/soul.

You can typically catch her on the first Thursday, every other month, creating good vibes on the decks at Natt Spil (211 King St. in Madison), as well as semi-regular gigs at Tavernakaya (27 E. Main St. in Madison). She is a sometimes guest DJ at Q***r Pressure parties, and various odds n’ ends around the city.

Millbot (aka Emily Mills) is available for gigs at clubs, parties, and (on a very selective basis) weddings. She prides herself on professionalism, reliability, friendliness, and really killer taste in music/adaptability to the energy of the crowd. Not an iTunes DJ.
