Since the conclusion of Daytona Kart Week, we have been looking forward to bringing you coverage from the World Karting Association / WKA Dirt Series Page event in northern Florida this weekend. Unfortunately, despite previously positive responses, we were suddenly informed by the sanctioning body on Tuesday they "do not have the authority" to permit us to perform our services for you, our subscribers, this weekend.

More information / updates on dirt scheduling for Daytona Kart Week.

Due to the current weather conditions, we are moving our event to the Dec 30th rain date. No track in our sport would hold a race on Dec 29th given the forecast.

While we can't make any guarantees, if the weather clears sooner than expected and the track dries sufficiently, we may consider offering a controlled late evening open practice sessions for testing. However, this will depend on several factors aligning.please stay tuned to our page for further updates.

The WKA trailer will be open from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Dec 29th for those wishing to pick up payouts from Vega Day. We will also be one site during that time to talk with individuals who are unable to race on Dec 30th due to other commitments.

We understand that the weather is beyond our control, and below is the updated plan and schedule for how the Dec 30th event will proceed. Please read carefully please do not ask questions on this post we will answer them onsite and in person.

Dirt track day 1 has been completed (Vega). Due to weather, all of day 2 and day 3 (Reaper) has been moved to Monday. There will be no dirt racing Sunday.

Daytona Update: Overnight and early morning rains on Saturday have pushed the start times back for the dirt track. We anticipate feature racing to begin sometime after lunch today, followed by the Day 2 program later tonight.
