WERD雜誌台灣版共同發行人Jonathan Tung 和 Sun-Kai Pan為美國華僑,成長於美國加州,致力於美國文化推廣,專長為歐美流行、街頭文化、音樂、美式改裝車,有不同的想法和見解,2011年,二人初回台灣,發現台灣雜誌內容多偏向日本、香港等資訊,對於歐美資訊並沒有太多著墨,感到非常的可惜,2012年二人籌備將WERD雜誌帶回台灣發行,內容採中英雙語版,希望讀者可以在閱讀雜誌時,除了可以吸收新的資訊,也可透過閱讀,學習到更多美國英文及用語
WERD Magazine/Media Taiwan is published by Jonathan Tung and Sun-Kai Pan who were both born and raised in the United States. Growing up in California they inherited the street culture, fashion, music, food and cars at its purest form. In 2011 they decided to move back to Taiwan, they realized that Taiwanese Street magazines were influenced mainly by Hong Kong and Japanese trends rather than American culture. In 2012 the duo decided it was time to publish WERD Magazine, they wanted to share their experiences and American culture with the Taiwanese. One of the ways they thought they could do this best is by having the complete magazine in English and Chinese. In addition to learning new things, readers can also have the chance to learn English and its American expressions!
