birthdays was the worst days 🎈🍾
That last two photo slides are from 10 years ago. I had spent 2 months on my best friend couch in the Bronx trying to get on my feet. I ended up renting a room in Queensbridge projects. It felt like a closet - just a mattress on the floor and a bag full of my clothes and belongings. That pic is me standing outside the door waiting for the super to fix the lock cause the people I was renting from wouldn’t come to the door. I waited for hours - just feeling like my life was worthless before he finally came and let me in. The last pic: If you ever lived in the projects in NYC you know they blast the heat in the winter, so I needed to have my window wide open just to sleep. When I couldn’t, I used to kneel and look out the window with a view of the Empire State Building and think about where my life would be. 10 years later and I’m blessed to live a life I could never imagine. All from picking up a camera and following my dreams 💭
I’ve been trusting God more than ever - I look forward to see where he takes me the next 10 years 🙏🏽
