I am very proud to announce that our short film A Visualization of a Cut directed by Claudia Munksgaard-Palmqvist has been selected to OFF - Odense International Film Festival in the documentary program.
This will be the Danish premiere of the film and we will celebrate big time!
The film is an experimental animated documentary in three chapters exploring the connection between the cinematic cut and human relations extracted from home movies. The film is about life, love and loss explored through montage editing in home movies collected from six Scandinavian families.
We want to thank our co-producers Draško Ivezić (Adriatic Animation) and Bruno Caetano (COLA Animation) and the fantastic team, composer and sound designer Anton Friisgaard, Thomas Richard Guldsten Christensen, who did the mix and Andreia Bertini who did the compositing. Thank you Thomas Ahlmark for helping with the DCP.
Thank you also to Den Vestdanske Filmpulje, Open Workshop, Rise&Shine (CEE Animation, Animafest Zagreb and Animateka) and Animarkt Stop Motion Forum for supporting the film.

Unfinished Stories, Unfulfilled Dreams: Honoring the Legacy of Paul Bush
Regrettably, his sudden and untimely passing abruptly halted the journey of a truly gifted filmmaker, leaving a trail of unfinished projects and unfulfilled dreams in its wake. We mourn the loss of an exceptional man, an artistic visionary whose love for storytelling has inspired so many.
In his presence, one could feel the strong dedication and love he harbored for his art. His tireless efforts were evident in the diversity in style and storytelling throughout his work. He possessed an uncanny ability to breathe life into his work, making each film an embodiment of truth, vulnerability, and raw human emotions.
In our grief, we must celebrate the profound impact he made on the animation community. This brilliant filmmaker, with a heart filled with love for his students, fellow artists and collaborators, fostered an environment of creativity, unity, and boundless inspiration. He effortlessly brought together talents, ensuring that each person involved in his projects felt valued and cherished.
To work alongside him was to witness firsthand the power of unyielding passion and unwavering commitment to his vision. His infectious enthusiasm became a driving force, pushing everyone around him to excel.
Now, as we struggle with the overwhelming sense of loss, we must find comfort in the memories we had with him, cherishing the moments of joy, laughter, and love that he shared with us.
And let us not forget that love is immortal. It transcends time and space, reminding us that the impact he made with his art will forever reside within our hearts. We must carry forth the torch he ignited and continue to foster the creative brilliance that he embodied.
And so, in our hearts, he will forever be the guiding star, the beacon of love that continues to inspire generations to come and this is how we will keep celebrating him.

𝘐𝘛𝘈: Il regista si diverte a giocare con la bellezza della plastica, e anche noi, come pubblico, a guardare il film. È colorato e leggero, perfettamente sincronizzato e realizzato. Ma alla fine, ciò che rimarrà è un forte senso di colpevole piacere, perché noi come esseri umani siamo parte del lato brutto.
Quello che ci piace è che il film nasconda un'affermazione forte e rilevante sotto strati di divertimento, plastica e bellezza.

𝘌𝘕𝘎: The filmmaker enjoys playing with the beauty of plastic – and so do we as an audience with that film. It is colorful and light, perfectly timed and edited. But in the end, what will stay is a strong sense of guilty pleasure, because we as human beings are part of the ugly side to it.
What we like is, that the film disguises a strong and relevant statement under layers of fun, plastic and beauty.

I have been working hard to get animated short films for adults into the Danish cinemas.
Wednesday evening my dream came through. I was invited to represent Orgiastic Hyper-Plastic by Paul Bush, as a part of an animated short film program in ArtCinema4 in Skive. It was wonderful to watch short animated films in this beautiful cinema and talk about the film (and all the other films in the program) with an engaged and interested audience with no animation background.
Thank you Viborg Animation Festival for making this happen. I’m available for any future eye openers:)
I hope this is the first in many such screening events across the country.

I am very, very proud to share that we got development support from Det Danske Filminstitut for The Right to be Forgotten by Tue Sanbggard.
I took the liberty to translate a few words from Frank Piasecki Poulsen, our DFI consultant.
