10×10 is an initiative of US-based filmmaker Norwood Cheek to promote emerging local bands and filmmakers and foster creative collaboration. It has since become a feature of film festivals across the US and Canada, and at the 2023 Adelaide Fringe in a unique collaboration between Cheek, the Adelaide Fringe and C44.

In the early 90s, Norwood Cheek began making music videos on Super 8 film for local bands in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Since relocating to Los Angeles in 1997, Cheek has directed more than 60 music videos for bands including 12 Stones, AFI, Ben Folds Five, The Beths, The Donnas, Eels, Five-Eight, French Kicks, She & Him, Soul Coughing, Superchunk, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Toenut and Tsunami.

We made it in!
Thank you so much to everyone who voted for ‘Laced Up’ in this year’s Hottest 100. We’ve been pretty quiet, so it was a surprise to see it in there.

Over the last five years we’ve only dropped four songs - ‘I’m Good?’, ‘Show Business’, ‘A Whole Days Night’ and ‘Laced Up’, and to see all of them get into the count has been really special.
I say that to say this. It’s been five years since our last album. FIVE.
Enough is enough, the new album is on its way!

Also, while we’re on the subject of triple j. We want to share our gratitude to, and respect for Richard Kingsmill.
Richard recently exited one of, if not the, toughest jobs in music - heading up programming at Triple J. We’re sure that it’s an exhausting, and often thankless position for him and the team over there. But with Richard at the wheel we saw so many Australian artists careers launched and supported. A lot of artists in this country, including ourselves, owe their careers in big part to Richard.
He always showed us a massive amount of support, and for that we will be eternally grateful. We genuinely look forward to seeing where Richard’s immense wealth of musical knowledge and broadcasting talent lands next and wish him the absolute best. Thank you Richard.

I got a message from a supporter today who had recently discovered my debut album “Hektic - The Outsider”. It was released independently in 2004, and added to Spotify in 2008.

I came up being bullied and traumatised by a lot of people. Strangers, friends and even some family. This album was written around that time. I’d recently moved back to and wasn’t really accepted in the Hip Hop scene. Hence the title “The Outsider”. Whilst it’s not a reflection of me now, so much anger and frustration in the release, it’s a great reminder of how far I have come.
