About the Young Shot Film Festival Karachi
Films and television content is always considered as one of the most attractive field for the youth who are always interested in joining the field. There was no formal education before in this field however various education institutes after realizing the importance and growth in the field of audio-visual started to offer degree and diploma level program
s. At present a number of education institutes in Karachi are offering professional level audio-visual programs and are producing new talent for the field. But the issue while being a student that these aspiring professionals face is showcasing the talent in front of stakeholders of the industry. The 1st Short Film Festival is designed to present a platform where the aspiring professionals to be may showcase their work and win applaud by the industry. The festival is targeted for March 6th, 2016 at Arts Council Karachi. The event objectives are
1: to develop a permanent platform for the students of media sciences and amateur film makers to showcase the creativity.
2: Involve the industry to encourage the young talent.
3: To encourage the aspiring talent. This is the first event of the series in which industry professionals are also involved. The awards that are being given are
