From 261lbs to 180lbs in 6 months! throughout this process of my lifestyle change, I’ve gotten multiple questions. The questions were mostly about my diet, herbs, difference in how I feel to can you help me. Anyone who really knows me, know that if you ask for my help and I can do it, I will.

This on the other hand felt a lil different because now people are comfortable telling me about their health problems. Which in turn, triggers me to give them my ear, time and advice regardless of what I may have going on.

Some people I have been able to help through consultation, going shopping with them, selling them the products I use, motivation and sometimes pointing them to other people that helped me through my walk! Plus we all know how the Social Media algorithms work, once you start researching a topic the info keeps popping up! Lol 😂

This is the time of the year that many people make resolutions to become healthier! They just have to get that Christmas and New Year meal in 🤣😆😂 trust I understand totally.

WOW!!! Today makes 90 days of a I’ll be untruthful if I told you it was easy! These are pics of Brooklyn, NC, a Black community and business district. It’s not in many history books because it would prove not all Black Americans did NOT beg for acceptance. They created their own✊🏾Never fled for a better life. We just did what we needed to do here even though racists can’t help themselves when it comes to us.

This is an actual pic of them starting the renewal in Brooklyn. FYI in its heyday, Brooklyn was a thriving Black business center; “an Black American city-within-the-city, complete with its own downtown. The community had two theaters, a library, two funeral homes, schools, 20 restaurants, 23 churches, a pharmacy, 2 newspapers, doctors and dental professional offices, 2 commercial laundries, night clubs, and more.

The community also marked many “firsts” for Charlotte’s Black residents. The Myers Street School was Charlotte’s first Black public school, it was home to Second Ward High School (first high school for Black students in Charlotte,) the city’s first Black YMCA, and had the first free library for Black patrons in the state of NC. In addition, most of the buildings there were financed by Black professionals in the area. Don’t let them tell you about boot 🥾 straps or wealth. They stole theirs even after slavery.

During the 1960s and 1970s, Brooklyn became apart of Charlotte’s first wave of “urban renewal,” displacing thousands, and ultimately destroying more than 1,480 structures. This includes more than 200 Black businesses.Parts of it now lies under Charlotte government buildings, Marshall park, NASCAR Hall of Fame, Second Ward, and more.

Yo if you haven’t seen season 3 episode 8 your are doing yourself a great disservice!!! THIS IS SOME OF THE GREATEST TV I’VE WATCHED THIS YEAR!!! The show has been phenomenal this season but this is the best episode by far!!! I felt like a kid, on Saturdays, watching blackbelt theater!! Well, the USDA/1890 National Scholars Program was established to counteract some of the racist disparities within U.S. agriculture and provides qualifying students “tuition, employment, employee benefits, fees, books, and room and board each year for up to 4 years.” If you or someone you know is considering going into agriculture, food, natural resource sciences, or related fields, you should check it out and see if you qualify!
