Suburban Mix 225 - Sies ()

Sies is an Italian-born DJ and producer who launched his own label, Scraps Records, in 2018. Bringing a raw, hypnotic sound to the techno scene, his rhythmic sets are infused with deep, driving grooves that exude pure adrenaline, taking listeners on an intense, immersive journey.

Shaped by the Ukrainian electronic scene, she explores various styles of Techno and Electro, with a special affinity for EBM and noisy realms. Instead of a fast tempo, she prefers a rough and harsh sound, bringing an intense and edgy vibe to her sets.

Suburban Mix 223 - .t

Born and raised in northern Italy, xMachina’s already deeply rooted passion for electronic music exploded with his move to London in 2019. Inspired by the city’s scene, he joined his university’s DJ collective just before the pandemic, developing a taste for UK sounds from breakbeat to 90s drum and bass. It wasn’t until after the pandemic that his tight relationship with techno began, driven by an obsession with the grooves and textures of its more deep and raw facets.

In some respects moving against the current of London’s techno scene, increasingly pushing towards faster and harder music, xMachina has made of his love for the interplay between textural depth and energetic grooves his signature. Having performed in notable venues such as fabric, E1, Corsica Studios and as a support act for Mischa Fanghaenel’s NACHTS, his taste for techno has not gone unnoticed.

In addition to his work behind the decks, xMachina’s gratitude towards London’s student DJ community and his desire to help other young artists stand out has brought him to start Unity Sound, a community and platform showcasing talented student selectors in some of London’s high-profile venues. His passion for creation has also brought him closer to the world of production, with unreleased work being supported by the likes of Tapefeed at fabric and Tresor.

Born in the southside of Italy in the late 90s and based in Berlin nowadays, Navi’s rooty step goes down to reggae, funky beats, and psychedelic in his childhood. Developing an electronic music style crafting chances between house and techno with the use of storytelling and tools to build infinite paths through a multiform wide sound palette fitting dub, deep, old-school beats, non-common rhythms, glitched landscapes, and uplifted moody.

Noirnor, born and raised in Kyiv, Ukraine, kickstarted her DJ career in the vibrant Eastern European nightlife scene. After the Russian invasion, she relocated to Berlin, playing at prestigious venues like Tresor/Globus, Watergate, HÖR, Renate, Refuge Worldwide etc.
Currently she is also a resident of the World’s leading underground music station Rinse FM (UK).

Noirnor’s eclectic taste can be represented by a wide range of styles: from the infectious grooves of house and breakbeat to the hypnotic rhythms of electro, tech house, and the undeniable energy of bassline.

Her sets tell stories and express energy, featuring a deep, soulful, and mental sound that captivates listeners.

Suburban Mix 219 - Keepsakes ()

Gear up for the 219th episode of Suburban Mix with the thrilling sounds of Keepsakes.

Keepsakes, the alias of British-New Zealand producer and DJ James Barrett, has been a strong and distinctive voice in techno since rising to fame through his Stygian Concrete Works and Weapons Grade Manic EPs back in 2014. Since then he has showcased his powerful and menacing, yet often cheeky and playful, productions on influential labels including South London Analogue Material, Perc Trax, MORD, Earwiggle and KAOS.

Furthermore, he founded the Haven club night alongside Jaded Nineties Raver in Tāmaki Maraukau, Aotearoa (Auckland, New Zealand) in 2015 - aiming to introduce clubbers to the experimental and harder side of techno in a city completely devoid of
this music. In 2018 Haven also expanded into a vinyl-focused record label - going on to release many leading international artists including VTSS, Tommy Holohan, New Frames, Peder Mannerfelt, Ayarcana, Ansome, and Ryan James Ford, as well as becoming the main home for Barrett’s own productions.

Now located in Ōtautahi, Aotearoa (Christchurch, New Zealand) - following several years in Berlin hitting the European club circuit - he is focused on bringing his tough and eclectic sound to dance floors worldwide, with regular appearances at international techno institutions providing a platform for his formidable DJ sets.

Suburban Mix 217 - VSK ()

Francesco Visconti, better known as VSK, is an Italian techno dj and producer, born in Rome and based in Berlin.He has got familiar to different forms of techno, his style ranging from a sound usually hard and dark, often with industrial influences, to a very different one, deeper and more mental, both still easily recognizable as coming from the same mind.

He began an education as an audio-engineer and sound-designer, in music and especially in television; currently he does this alongside his artistic career.

Over the years he has released music on many other important labels such as “47”, “Perc Trax”, “Modularz”,”Mord”, “EarToGround”,”Genesa”, “ Planet Rhythm”, also with some great collaboratiom, fisrt of all with the Serbian artist Scalameriya, with Giorgio Gigli and Conrad Van Orton.
Currently he has been handling the label “CRS ltd”.
