I hope this report finds you warm and well.

As the first order of business, I would like to wish Pacific Walker a VERY HAPPY RELEASE DAY for their incredible sophomore release "Lost in the Valley of the Sun" out today on Bluesanct!

In April, Water is the Sun will head out on a month's long tour on the eastern coast and midwest US.

Water Is The Sun is a mind-meld of Adam Parks (Timber Rattle, Lightning White Bison) and me.

In celebration of the tour, the Second Quarter Batch of the 2025 Examinations Tape Club will include the new Lightning White Bison full-length "The Wind-Brought Drum", as well as a special club only re-press of last year's Water is the Sun tour only release "Light of Field".

For the follow up to their self-titled debut for Bluesanct, Pacific Walker went in search of the occulted answers to cosmic inquiry, charting a star-crossed course across the elder seas of private-press new age cassettes and back-catalogue self-help tapes. Still waters run deep and from those depths, the guiding light they find may lead them to an eternity far beyond their third-eye ideologies. Like Ted Lucas on a brown tab from Gibby Haynes, our sonic travelers find themselves lost in the slushed waves of shadowy enlightenment, phasing through dimensions, space echoing across their minds. Sea-sick drones warble like the drug-thick tongues of true believers, while hymns of a scorched church policy are strum out into the endless sacred night. And even here, even now, from the soft blue underbelly of the colloidal aether come the kosmiche whispers of some kind of guru. An invitation. An invocation. A journey. Lost in the Valley of the Sun.

Alizarin was a project that I did in the early 90's with Annie Smidt.

One of my oldest friends and sister, Annie needs help covering some of her out-of-pocket treatments from her recent cancer diagnosis.

Her needs are, thankfully, not as huge as they could be, but still very important to relieve much of the stress of 'f**k, what now?'.

One of my oldest friends and sister, Annie Smidt, needs help covering some of her out-of-pocket treatments from her recent cancer diagnosis.

Her needs are, thankfully, not as huge as they could be, but still very important to relieve much of the stress of 'f**k, what now?'.

Many of you do not know the elusive genius that is Annie, but I would not be who I am today without her. Since the late 80's, she has inspired, instructed, and taken care of me when I was a spastic, random, feral weirdo trying to find my voice and place in the world.

Her magazine, Tear Down The Sky, included much needed articles like the evolution of Simon Gallup's beautiful hairstyles, she was responsible for bringing bands like Cindytalk and Breathless (I am pretty sure) to the US, and we explored early musings in sound with bands like Alizarin and her overlooked and carefully hidden brilliance as Wineredglasseye.

Avid devotees of local band such as Think Tree and all things involving Scott and Val, she also turned me on to King Ink and his merry band of Bad Seeds.

If you have anything to give, please donate to her fund.

"my brilliant, imaginative, clever, special, unique, and beloved sister Annie has been diagnosed with Cancer. As you can imagine, this has wreaked havoc on Annie and her husband Bill's lives in every possible way including well, you know, the pocketbook.
