Dub Sector (the weekly Dubstep night) was officially formed in 2015 by SeamzLegit aka Yo! From 2013-2016, it provided a platform for St Louis minimal dubstep/reggae artists to showcase their music each Monday at Dub Sector (formerly Mellow Mondays) and the Dubstep is Dead Tour. The night has focused primarily on different styles of dubstep since 2014 and will see its first label release in 2017. T
he Dubstep is Dead Tour (2014-2016) featured the largest names in Dubstep and some of the most coveted up-and-coming talent the industry has to offer. In 2014, the Fall Tour consisted of Biome, Joe Nice, sMILOdon, p0gman, Blaqout, Hatcha, J:Kenzo, Sleeper, Thelem, EshOne, Bukez Finezt and Seven. The 2015 Fall Tour included G***a White Night, Sleeper, Kaiju, REZ,The Greys, Le Lion, DJ MADD, AxH, OldGold, Rasper, SixChakra, Quest, Spin-Sir, LX ONE, Biome, SubOxyde and Joe Nice. The Spring Tour of 2016 featured Trashbat, Youngsta, Prism, SubOxyde, Radikal Guru, OldGold, BadKlaat, DMVU and Joe Nice. The Dubstep is Dead Tour concluded in the Fall of 2016 with Unicorn Fukr, Kaiju, Hatcha, Enigma Dubz, jPhelpz, N-Type, Oxossi, OldGold, REZ, Blaqout, Frequency Dreams, KrudKutter and Joe Nice. Dub Sector individually featured RDG and K MAN in June, TRUTH in August and Mala in November of 2016. Dub Sector is now a monthly gathering as well as a record label centered around St Louis producers and will continue to bring out premier talent to the area. With releases lined up through local cornerstone producers such as REZ, Frequency Dreams and jWiRE, Dub Sector has continued to receive support through many artists such as The Widdler, Bukez Finezt, Seven, Biome, Enigma Dubz, Joe Nice and many others. Dub Sector artists and forthcoming releases have been featured on Rinse.FM, Sub.FM and FatKidOnFire. The label prides itself on featuring talented, lesser known artists and bridging the gap with well-established producers.
