Focus on Abilities with Lex Frieden

Focus on Abilities is a television talk show produced and broadcast by Houston cable channel HTV. Pro The Municipal Channel later became HTV.

Focus on Abilities originated in 1990, and was first broadcast on the Houston Municipal Channel. Since it began, more than 120 episodes of the program have been produced and broadcast. In 1992, several shows were aired nationally from the Republican National Convention in Houston. The program has received recognition and awards from many sources, including first prize in the 1998 "Hometown Video F

estival," the largest and longest running video festival for local cable programming in the northern hemisphere. Judges selected Focus on Abilities as a winner in the talk show category after reviewing entries from more than 1700 stations across the country. In 2005, Focus on Abilities won the prestigious Pegasus Award. The Pegasus Awards are the video industry’s premiere competition for recognition of exemplary work produced by non-broadcast video professionals. Focus on Abilities airs weekly on cable networks in the Greater Houston area to an audience which exceeds 3.5 million subscribers. It also streams live on http://houstontx.city.swagit.com/Live/.
