Her Hectic Excursion ™️ FAQs

🔸Will Excursions ever be out of the country, like a Caribbean island for instance?

I have given this carefully consideration… more than once. But since the very essence of an Excursion is for women to steal “a quick” weekend away from life’s demands, I will likely keep the spot no more than a 2 (mayyyybe 3) hour drive from home base. It’s important to me that most guests are able to experience the Excursion by just taking a few hours of PTO, some even have been able to check in after they go to work or even go to work the day they check out. Now I don’t personally recommend that but the option is there, lol.

🔸Are Her Hectic Excursions just for Eta Eta Lambda members?

Absolutely not! Any woman that needs an escape from their hectic life is welcome to Xscursy Scurse!

🔸What makes Her Hectic Excursions so special?

Excursions offer reprieve from the hustle and bustle of life. We deserve a break from relationships, kids, work, school and stress. Excursion weekend provides the space to rest, fellowship, laugh, connect and just release. All parts of womanhood are supported and celebrated. Baby, we’re gonna eat, twerk, sleep and repeat! You really have the power to make your Excursion experience your own. Our time is not heavily itinerized but still never a dull moment. Do you pass the vibe check?

🔸When is the next Excursion?

The 2025 Excursion dates haven’t dropped but if you’re interested in attending, make sure to be deposit ready around the first week of July 😉

Personal growth is a journey that an individual embarks on, sometimes by choice but oftentimes by circumstance, where you become aware of self on a very deep level. This awakening can be triggered by an event or situation or simply a season in your life that sparks self reflection of your own poor behaviors, ideals, mindsets, triggers, habits and actions…or lack there of. The realization alone doesn’t constitute growth though. In fact, for some this realizing part happens over and over before they are ever motivated to do anything about it.

The growth part comes in when you’re willing to examine these things and take meaningful steps to improve them. Self improvement sound great, right!? So why doesn’t everyone skip down the path of personal growth? I mean, it sounds so delightful! Because that $h*t is hard as f&q. That’s why.

The process forces you to examine your relationships- familial, platonic, business… all of them. Most importantly it forces you to examine your relationship with yourself. You have to come to terms with why you react to things the way you do, how your coping skills became what they are, why you’re inclined to accept certain behaviors from other people and more. This is the part where people shy away. It’s much easier to fall back into old habits than it is to blaze new trails. Self criticism doesn’t feel good. Upholding new boundaries becomes difficult when you get the inevitable push back from others who have yet been uncomfortable enough to make their own changes. Setting new standards is isolating. So long story short, we don’t want to do them. And frfr… sometimes we don’t know HOW to do them.

These are the conversations we need to be having more of. We shouldn’t be living through things like this alone when literally everyone has to go through it. No one is exempt from personal growth and the intense work that comes along with it, yet when you’re up against it you literally have no point of reference. No one is talking about it.

I started my brand, Her Hectic Life, because I wanted womenpreneurs with hectic lives to know they weren’t alone. And I’ve been dedicated to creating the spaces that allow women like me to be seen, heard and understood.
