Booked again this year for Remote Zoom Producer Services on The Business Foundations workshop series for YSpace Georgina. In my office studio, I use a BMD ATEM Mini Extreme ISO, BMD Pocket 4K, MixEffect Pro, Zoom OSC, Companion, Stream Decks, StageTimer, PlayoutBee, LiveApp Player and lots of monitors. Over the past few years, I have found that the most essential tool for a successful virtual live event is a detailed checklist so I do not miss any of the steps.😁

Part-time gig at RogersTV doing Live Hits and Bumps for a live morning show, Georgina Life. Happy to use a New Dejero unit this season. Much better interface and connections. Recovering my handheld skills that were getting a bit rusty from mostly post-production work of late.

Recent one-man-band video shoot on Lake Simcoe for PlaySafe Productions. Directing and photographing a training video for an on-water lifejacket research project this summer. Lumix GH5, SD MixPre3, Sennheiser AVX & EK100 G3 wireless.

Cool project this weekend. I remotely operated a PTZ camera for a folk trio performance at the Accidental Theatre in Belfast NI. Remote crew from around the world using Universe Control, Unity Intercom , Zoom Multi-view.

Directed a Lifejacket Awareness video for PlaySafe Productions in Vancouver BC. Worked with a great local crew and talent. I seem to be making a habit of putting people in cold water lately.

Delivered final videos to PlaySafe Productions for a Winter Survival education project that will be used in Schools in the Near & Far North. Thunder Bay On, stood in for Northern Canada. It was cold enough for me! Ice Rescue, Shelter building scenes with 3 three feet of snow in the bush, snowshoes were essential.

Simple on-location virtual event setup for PlaySafe Productions & the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association. 90 minute virtual Q&A session for COPA members which after viewing a pre-recorded video earlier in the week qualified attendees for GA pilot recurrent training credit. The project involved Pre-event technical checks with the five Ultralight Instructor experts on the panel and managing the chat and question flow during the event for the moderator, Ted Rankine from PlaySafe. Supplied a location kit with a headset microphone, IFB, Logitech Brio We**am, PlexiCam Mount and lighting.

Finished post-production on a video training project for PlaySafe Productions and the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association. We recorded the presentation in an aircraft hangar and used SM 57 & 58 microphones to overcome the sound challenges.
The 70 minute video is an asynchronous video training program that along with a 90 minute live virtual Q&A session is approved by Transport Canada for recurrent training for Canadian GA pilots.

Images from Oisín Hannigan's Bodhran Masterclass Workshop & Concert at Shaw Percussion last weekend. I assisted Steafan Hannigan & Noah Sullivan with lighting and camera operation on the Zoom Live stream and recording. The low ceiling was a challenge for lighting but we were able to capture some nice images and sound.

Volunteered this afternoon at the Rogers Georgina TV studio on the Georgina Cares Fund Live TV Auction. Operated a Cinegy Video Playout machine. It's been many years since I have worked on a live show in the control room. It was a great cause, an amazing team and a successful event!

Remote technical production of this year's Canadian Safe Boating Council Symposium Livestream from my home office. Added a few extra machines and monitors to handle remote PowerPoint and video play-out. Ten speakers from across Canada, the US and New Zealand. Lots of Pre-production and a great team made for a successful event!

Got a last-minute call to help UPAC with a Zoom hybrid presentation for their annual Fly-in. Two presenters on-prem in front of a local audience and a Transport Canada representative on Zoom. Ran 250Ft of Cat6 to get a usable upload speed in the hangar. SM58 microphone helped reject the sound of ultralights taking off in the background. BMPCC 4K, MixPre 3, Cam link4K into zoom.
