Can I get a radio check? The most important thing I realised after our first trip away in the new Lux was how much you need / rely on good clear communication between you & the rest of your convoy! My light bulb moment was after we had a near miss with an on coming car on the wrong side of a dirt road up in the high country. Unfortunately this is a common occurrence but at least if you have a decent UHF you can give or receive a quick clear warning from your mates. After running a GME XRS in the 80 for some time I definitely took for granted how good it is having a high quality UHF that you can actually hear over your noisy 4wd & music!! That’s why it’s one of the very first mods installed on the Lux. Plus it’s an added bonus that it’s Aussie made 🤘🏻and I reckon if a bloke that digs holes for a living can install it with out any issues it makes for a great diy mod to do at home in the shed 👍🏻

We had an awesome day out yesterday at Car Builders 4X4 meet. Was great to meet a bunch of you guys down there. But unfortunately it was all so the last day that the troppy was out and about before it goes up for sale 😢 It’s sad but onto smaller and better things 😂

Just in case you were wondering how many people it takes to lift one of the new Jimnys it’s about this many 👍🏻

Well where do we start. Blown front diff, broken compressor so no rear diff lock and a broken winch plus an hour of heavy rain. We won’t forget this one for a long time. Big thanks to @patrolfreak1 and @bradeddyau for running the winch’s all night in the rain and the livin4x4 girlfriends for making sure there was hot dinner for all of us when we got home at midnight. 15 hours on Ellis track. Now let the repairs begin 👍🏻

WATER IN LAKE EYRE SOUTH!!!! As you can probably tell I was pretty stoked about it👍🏻 the written plan for this trip is fully out the window as we head into proper outback South Australia👌🏻

So with all our cars off the road at the moment I jump in my mate James GQ for the day. Fear to say the conditions out in toolangi at the moment are  prime. Hopefully next weekend will be out there driving 👌🏻

Don’t mind iMovie cropping off every ones heads but   weighing the rigs before the big trip 👍🏻
