Not Unlike was established in 2011 and launched with an ambitious and ill-advised 21 issue tape series of live recordings at The Buzz Garage in Toronto. The series, released in association with Buzz Records, was described by Now Magazine's Richard Trapunski as "a remnant of of a time when 'indie' was considered an ethos rather than a genre."
