One definition is that a villain is someone who acts in the world out of total self-interest, at the expense of others; those villains are labeled as such by society at large. We are villains in the sense that we stand in opposition to a mediocre, but widely accepted, status quo. We don the title of Super Villain as a mantle of pride.
