One of the reasons we wanted to move out to the countryside was to be able to see the night sky.
This picture of our galaxy center is taken on my Pixel 7 with the astrophotography option. It's insane how far technology has gotten lately!
Now to be honest, we cannot see this much detail with our own eyes, but in a sense the photo better represents the feeling you get IRL.

I guess it's time to get a good telescope 🔭🧎

This is the first step in my process of making my "Sargade Knektar" larp character for . Next post will be all about how I weathered and destroyed the s**t out of this outfit! 🤟💥

Been hard working renovating the ceiling in one of the rooms of our new workshop since it was totally mouse infested for years leaving a mixture of... well... everything mouse... 🤢
I did not plan on making this renovation right now since we're in the middle of moving from our old workshop but it had to be done before we got all our stuff in.
Next up is cleaning the walls, relining the electric cables and putting in a door between our two rooms! ⚒️🪛🔨🔧🪚

Every new step leads to another more urgent step when you're renovating a 100-year old building. I'm not the first one to remove or add stuff to this workshop, but I might be the first one to actually wanting to do it properly. And that takes both time and consideration.
And a crowbar.
And a hammer.
And some brute force.

I wrote a thing on facebook where the discussion on AI came up.

"For those of you who have not reflected further on the matter (I myself come from a "Wow AI" to "Oh no thanks AI"), take this into consideration:
Culture and art have always been created by us humans - for us humans, with or without advanced tools, but always between us humans as a way of communicating and understanding the world.
Aside from HOW AI-generated images are produced, do we really want a completely alien intelligence driving how our culture and art is produced? Are we prepared to allow this alien intelligence to become so influential in cultural expressions that we no longer know what is created by us humans?
It does not feel far-fetched to think: Because we do not understand how artificial intelligence reasons and what values it has, we will no longer be able to understand the world it creates for us. It fools us humans by being so infinitely faster, but also by not being able to explain what it does to us at all.
There are areas where AI is useful, such as tools in medicine and research, where it returns raw data that is far more accurate than anything we humans could produce.
But when it comes to culture, art, music, literature and all the ways we humans communicate, it becomes quite uncomfortable when we put an interpreter between us that neither side understands.

I believe that if we allow this intelligence to gain more and more space, it will eventually lead to us humans completely losing the desire to create. For ourselves and for each other. Because why would we do that when you can just give a generator a few words, and out comes a completely unique interpretation of reality that is far more fantastic than anything we could ever invent."

The first and last photo taken during my 4 month period as prop maker for Swedish Television's advent calendar 2023. - Trolltider.
Everything (or at least 10%) in between will be posted once the show final has ended in december!
