International Indigenous Unity Flag Helping to create solidarity, unity and peace to address climate change and resolve social injustice. Each race carries a gift to the world.

The mission of the Indigenous Unity Flag (sometimes called Indigenous Peoples Flag or Indigenous Flag) is to extend the ideals of advocacy for indigenous sovereignty, solidarity, peace and unity among all the world's indigenous people. The symbol is one that resonates across ancient cultures in their customs, it has become a familiar symbol worldwide with flags in 30+ countries on 6 of the 7 conti

nents. The Unity Flag Represents:

Green: Mother Earth-plants, animals, humanity

All circles represent life and all cycles within it. Colored Circles: All of Humanity working together as one with their own ways and cultures working side by side, uniting as one to protect Mother Earth, our cultures, and way of life. All animals, the air we breath, the water we drink, and humans are in the same circle of life, and this is a representation of that cycle of unity and life. Each culture has a wisdom and knowledge that complements the whole of humanity. If the world is to remain in balance, the gifts of each race must be seen as valid and given the right under creator to reach its full potential.

Nine years ago today, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada released its Final Report. We stand in solidarity with Survivors and their families for sharing their stories, and honour Chief Commissioner Murray Sinclair on his leadership in advancing 94 Calls to Action, which remains vital in our journey towards reconciliation. Read the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Reports: https://ow.ly/AC5950Urklt.

On June 2024, the AFN released an annual report card to measure the progress on realizing the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s (TRC) Calls to Action and found that the Government of Canada has failed to demonstrate a meaningful implementation of the Call to Actions.

We will continue to advocate for the complete implementation of the 94 Calls to Action in support of Survivors, families, and First Nations across Turtle Island. Read more: https://ow.ly/UKeF50Urkls.

A terrific video was written by our friend Rebecca Adamson. It offers a Native American view of economics and how we might adjust our economy to better provide for all of us. Rebecca is an advocate for the global rights of indigenous people.

ENOUGHNESS The Prequel: Indigenous Economies have “values added”. Today’s economy values hoarding, greed and consumption. Using Indigenous values of sharing, cooperation and fairness with the millennial old design principles of indigenous economies see how we can transform today’s finance system to meet the most needs of the most people and provide a sustainable path for out future.
