In 1999, Christine Wilbur recieved the news that her son Hunter was blind. However, that has not effected Hunter's love of music, radio, and audio. Now, 14 years later, he is hosting a show, called the Hunter Show, from Tuesdays 4p-6p, on the Bates College radio station WRBC. This ambitious young DJ does not let the fact that he has no vision at all from being a voice of many voices in the Lewis
ton, Maine area. When he is not running the show, he can be found in his recording studio at his house in Greene, Maine, making mixes. "I don't mix in the usual styles," says Hunter, "I have invented a new style." A pre-produced mix from Hunter can be heard at the beginning of his show can be heard, right at 4 after the introduction. Hunter's head start in the world of radio broadcasting has inspired many people in Lewiston. "I have gotten quite a few phone calls at the radio station from people saying they absolutely love what I do, and that I've inspired them," says Hunter. "if ya follow those dreams, whatever they might be, and who knows, you might be the next big thing in what you do". Hunter's plans for the future include but are not limited to starting on commercial radio, really taking his mixing to the next level, becoming a musician, or working as a promoter. Hunter loves to promote local talent on his show. Nothing, or nobody, will ever stop this Maine native from following his dreams. He also takes your requests on the air too, just give him a shout when he is on, 207-777-7915 or 207-777-7916. Good luck, enjoy the Hunter Show!
