Rain
The break is just about over as of 12:45pm. More rain closing in on Nassau County and winds should start to increase as well. -Glen
Radar
Here is the future HRRR radar from 1PM to 11 PM. Looks like about another inch or so of rain for Nassau with this and another 2”+ in Suffolk. When that line comes through, that’s when winds will really start to get cranking. A break from the wind once that line passes through and then the winds pick up again overnight. -Glen #islandwideweather
Showers
A couple of scattered showers and heavier downpours have broken out across the island as of 9:00 PM. The steadiest of rains really come in early in the morning. Good luck tomorrow! -Glen
Snow flurries
A couple of snow showers and snow flurries around as of 10:45 PM. Could leave a quick coating in spots. This is all from a clipper system to our north. The next 4 days we are in the 50’s. -Glen

Cold pattern
Can’t remember a cold pattern like this for so long in December. Watch the animation of shot after shot of cold air through December 10th. Not much in the way of snow at the moment, but usually when you have a pattern like this, you can connect in some way, whether it’s a minor or major event. Only time will tell! ❄️🥶 -Glen
