Exactly a month ago, I diverted myself to this relaxing and stress-buster craft called Crochet.
Needed this not just for self healing but for keeping myself away from all sorts of negativity around. It has done wonders, trust me. The way these colourful yarns shape up and turn into some beautiful patterns, it is sheer joy to look at the designs ❤
So many of you are missing the good old normal days( that includes me too). But will we ever be able to get back to the normal that we left behind? Probably never, in a deeper sense. Repurpose is one of the ways in bringing some sanity and peace to life that is struggling hard for survival.

Happy to find some purpose in this craft, and glad to see that my patterns are giving happiness to others too 😇🌷

I'm not much into medicines or into this habit of popping pills for anything that I feel can be taken care by a gharelu nuskha, but omega 3 capsules is something that I have been consuming for quite some time. I felt that my skin needed it considering I've an aging skin and prone to breakouts even in 40s now.

But being a vegetarian, I was on a lookout for a healthy vegan or veg option, since omega 3 has cod liver oil as one of the ingredients. That's when I got to know about veg capsules that not just have omega 3 but also, omega 5, 6, 7 & 9 😍

Advanced 0-5 is the first of its kind soft-gel vegan-friendly capsules. o-5 has been created as a substitute for fish oils. Summers is right here and so is my 22 years old purest cotton bedspread 😍
This is the most cherished piece from my college (Polytechnic) days semester submissions.

It was the year 1998 when I was in the final year of my diploma in Costume Design, we were told by our textile science faculty to work on a machine embroidery submission. Since I was always fascinated by the concept of applique work, I selected a fine cotton, 2-ply plain baby blue bedspread with some 300 plus thread count (not sure though) from my favorite brand
This was one tedious assignment as even the applique pieces were cotton. They were some 30-40 odd pieces and I was supposed to hem them first and then stitch on the professional embroidery machine.

You see, that's the beauty of government run technical and non-technical institutions. They have massive infrastructure, we used to have giant size pattern making tables, all super quality wood, huge halls where sewing machines, knitting machines, looms and what not used to be lying just like that. But the trouble with these so-called institutions is the very unprofessional approach by the teaching staff.

I was specifically told by my faculty to show out-of-the-box creativity so that this piece would shine in my dowry 😂

My reply clearly pi**ed her off. I wanted to sell this so as to earn profits to work on a similar or a better one. I told her that I was at the institute to learn skills to do business in future. She could keep the dowry theory to herself.

Anyways, the bedspread turned out to be a beautiful piece and I never got the buyer too, I kept the pricing in 5 figures so, of course😎
It's been 22 years, the colours are still shining bright and not a thread of the embroidery has gone haywire ❤
