How to grow watermelon

1. Choose a sunny location: Watermelons need full sun to thrive, so choose a spot in your garden that receives at least 6-8 hours of sunlight per day.

2. Prepare the soil: Watermelons prefer well-draining soil that is rich in organic matter. Amend the soil with compost or aged manure before planting to provide the plants with the nutrients they need to grow.

3. Plant seeds or seedlings: Watermelon seeds can be started indoors 2-3 weeks before the last frost date, or sown directly into the garden once the soil has warmed up to at least 70°F. Plant seeds 1 inch deep and space them 2-3 feet apart in rows that are 6-8 feet apart.

4. Provide support: Watermelon vines can grow quite long and heavy, so it's a good idea to provide support for them to climb on. You can use trellises, cages, or even old pantyhose to support the vines as they grow.

5. Water regularly: Watermelons need consistent moisture to grow and produce fruit. Water deeply once a week, making sure to water at the base of the plants to avoid getting the leaves wet. Mulch around the plants to help retain moisture and suppress weeds.

6. Fertilize: Watermelons are heavy feeders, so it's important to fertilize them regularly throughout the growing season. Use a balanced fertilizer or a fertilizer specifically formulated for fruiting plants, and follow the instructions on the package.

7. Control pests and diseases: Keep an eye out for common watermelon pests like aphids, cucumber beetles, and squash bugs, and treat them promptly with insecticidal soap or neem oil. Also, be on the lookout for diseases like powdery mildew and downy mildew, and treat them with fungicides if necessary.

8. Harvest: Watermelons are ready to harvest when the tendrils near the fruit turn brown and dry up, and the bottom of the fruit turns yellow. Cut the fruit from the vine with a sharp knife, leaving a few inches of stem attached. Enjoy your homegrown watermelon!

1. Container Selection: Choose a large container with drainage holes to prevent waterlogging, ideally a 5-gallon one.
2. Potting Mix: Use well-draining potting mix with organic matter, adding perlite or sand for better drainage.
3. Prepare Pineapple Tops: Twist off leafy crowns from ripe pineapples, ensuring no fruit flesh remains. Let them air dry for a few days.
4. Planting: Press the pineapple crown gently into the potting mix, ensuring its base is slightly above the soil level.
5. Water and Sunlight: Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged, placing the container in a sunny spot with 6-8 hours of sunlight.
6. Maintenance: Fertilize every 2-3 months with balanced fertilizer, and remove dead or yellowing leaves as needed.
7. Patience: Pineapples grow slowly and may take up to two years to fruit. Continue caring for the plant with regular watering, fertilizing, and sunlight.
8. Harvest: Once the pineapple matures and turns golden yellow, gently twist it off the plant. Cut off the leafy crown and enjoy your homegrown pineapple.

Stop Wasting Money On Insecticide: Get Salt, Kerosine And Any Detergent, and Do This.

Many have wasted alot of money on insecticide, not knowing that there's also another way through which you can get rid of insects both the ones flying and creeping in your house.

What it takes to get them permanently rid of in your house and compound is at your disposal.

It has been working, just that many people do not know about it.

Many of us make use of Kerosine, same as everyone uses Salt and detergent is in everyone's home because it is one of most used in many families.

Get an empty container (it could be Eva water empty container) get salt, Kerosine and any detergent of your choice and follow this steps provided below.

HOW TO MIX INGREDIENTS TOGETHER.

Get the empty container, pour about 10 tea spoon of Salt into the empty container, get any detergent of your choice, pour like 100 naira detergent into the container, Now get your Kerosine, pour till it gets to half of the container and then cover the container and shake it very well.

When you want to apply it, make a little hole on the cover of the container and apply gently.

Have you been disturbed by mosquitoes, bedbugs, ants, flies, centipede, snakes, lizard, insects, reptiles of all sorts, both creeping and flying insects, now their ends are here.
After mixing ingredients together, you can now apply them where necessary to kill any insects disturbing your peace in the house.

Apply in and around your compound every three (3) months to avoid snakes and any creepy creature, for bedbugs, apply it around the affected places including on the foam and see the wonder of the mixture.

For mosquitoes, drop around some strategic places around your room and leave for 20mins, your peace is restored.

For flies, drop around the places, and u won't see them again.
After trying this and it works for you, don't keep it to yourself alone, tell others about it, spread the good news.
