I Love Psychobilly a love for all psychobilly bands

20/12/2022

Just wanted to extend a most gracious thank you to all who came out to see us on our recently completed ESCAPE THE GRAVE Tour. We appreciate you all duking it out with us as we endured nearly 3 years of pandemic induced reschedules to make it happen. Seeing everyone each night from the front row to the back singing, flailing, and smiling maniacally truly made the unprecedented wait, work, and setbacks worth all the while. It was an honor and a privilege as it has always been to play for and connect with each of you and we don't take what we just experienced as anything less than a gift or sacred for that matter.

An en enormous thank you is in order to Randy Mason of Darker Days for stepping in with zero prep, practice, or time to even pack and enabling us to keep the tour going until Ryan Manning could come in and keep the tour afloat after we unceremoniously discovered we would be without a drummer a mere 3 shows into our 6-week excursion.

If it were not for the grit and guts of these two savages we would have remained abandoned with zero ability to honor our professional and personal commitments to this tour.

It was nothing short of luck that Ryan (who drums for doom legends Pentagram (official) as well as his own killer project Lady of the Dunes) was even available at all to commit to this tour, but he did- and he did it with zero rehearsal or zero mental prep for the rigors that such a touring schedule demands. Moreso, he turned the tides of the entire tour in both the spiritual and corporal sense and through his passion and professionalism truly paved what could have been rigorous miles into a string of positive experiences.

It would be an understatement to say that our friend Tommy London from Galy Media was anything short of an MVP on this tour. We were extremely fortunate to have this dude on our team. He did EVERYTHING from running merch (which was no light task in and of itself) to helping us load in, set up, doing line checks for us before we took the stage, breaking down gear, loading out, and STILL having time to taking live photos of us and running monitors for us all at the same time! Dude is a consummate professional and we simply could NOT have accomplished as much as we did on this tour without him. El Pollo Locoooooooooo forever!

Thank you to all of the promoters, venues, and staff who worked on this tour and gave us a place to do our thing.

Last but not least we cannot extend enough gratitude and appreciation to our agency, 33& West without whom this tour would have not been fathomable much less logistically possible. We love you guys and cannot thank you enough for giving us the opportunity to reclaim a sorely missed piece of our lives and truly helping us return to form.

We're a lucky band to have you all. We've always been and will only ever be because of YOU. Our collective love and respect to all those whose undying love and support for what we do continues to push Blitzkid into the next era. See you on the other side.

LONG LIVE THE HORROR!

The Psychobilly Quiff sits somewhere between a pompadour and a mohawk. It's skyscraper-high in front, but slants aggressively down towards the crown.
