❌ Wissa suffers injury setback

Yoane Wissa has suffered a setback in his return from a knee injury.

The Newcastle striker, who is yet to play a game or even train for the club since signing on Deadline Day, will now miss an additional three to four weeks of action.

Speaking at his Press conference ahead of the Nottingham Forest game, Howe said: "Yoane saw a specialist again yesterday for a check-up on his knee. We probably think now it’ll be eight weeks rather than six.

"No recurrence or problem, just slightly longer."

It was initially thought it was a four to five-week injury, but Eddie Howe has said this morning it is more likely an eight-week injury.
So his new return date is scheduled for the start of November against West Ham.
Wissa saw a specialist earlier this week and discovered the news.

In better news, Jacob Ramsay's ankle injury has recovered and he's likely to be in the squad for the visit of Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

Joey Barton on Alexander Isak:

“What an absolute b******! 🤬

“If Alexander Isak had done his cruciate ligament, Newcastle would have paid his wages to the penny for the length of his contract. So if that loyalty is there for the football club, where's the loyalty of the player? If Alexander Isak gets injured, he still gets paid the same. So I think the fact that he's gone and broken that contract and everyone's celebrating it, I think two things have happened there.

You've shown anyone from an investment standpoint that contracts aren't worth a carry. And secondly, to the people celebrating him and patting him on the back, I think he should be universally hounded at every ground he goes to for his behaviour.

Isak should be booed at every ground he goes to. He's behaved like a f------ absolute b------ and I think we have to be careful of the ramifications of the way Isak’s behaved. They are mercenaries.

If you've got three years left and you were happy to sign a six-year deal and the security that brings, then unfortunately, when you decide you want to go, you can't refuse to play and absolutely cause havoc and spoil the energy in your club and in your dressing room. I don't think that's the right thing to do and I don't think we should be rewarding that."
