ng gospel music for more than 25 years. Founded in 1987 by Courtney Williams, the Gospel Music Machine is a 3-hour long gospel music show broadcasting weekly on Sunday mornings in Toronto, Ontario. Richard “Bro Gee” Gordon joined Courtney Williams as co-host 18 years ago and is the voice behind the segment, “Island Praise”. New co-host, Keneisha Walters delivers the news and update listeners on what’s happening in the world of weather. Other regular features include “Daybreak", which is the spoken word segment done by co-host Claudette Guy as a tool to encourage and uplift listeners through the word of God. Each weekly program includes playing gospel music, ranging from traditional to contemporary hits. A mix of Caribbean beats including reggae and calypso are also part of the line-up. The program keeps listeners up-to-date with artist interviews, community happenings and allows promoters to advertise their concerts and events. Gospel Music Machine also serves as a platform for existing gospel artists and a breaking ground for new artist alike. The first broadcast was on April 6, 1987 and the first song played was “Chosen to be a Witness” by Keith Pringle which truly depicts what the Gospel Music Machine is all about --delivering the good news through music. Dedicated listeners range from age 7 years of age to 80 years of age and are supportive of the station’s fundraising efforts as the Gospel Music Machine is consistently one of the station’s top fundraisers. Co-hosts Courtney Williams, Richard “Bro Gee” Gordon, Keneisha Walters and Claudette Guy are committed and dedicated to producing the highest quality program. Each time they step up to the microphone, they will work to bring the message of Christ to the community, with the mission of bringing souls to the Kingdom.
