The University of Southern Mississippi’s Megan McKenzie began her path toward becoming an operator of uncrewed aquatic vehicle systems through her Career and Technical Readiness Program at Bogue Chitto Attendance Center. From there, she forged her path to Copiah-Lincoln Community College where she explored Electronics Engineering Technology and eventually found a career at USM.
“My CTE class changed the entire direction of my life with a field trip to the electronics department at Co-Lin. From that day forward, my love for electronics snowballed, leading to underwater robotics and ultimately my job here at USM. It was a life-changing experience.”
Check out McKenzie’s journey in Rob Fyke's, “Thriving Futures” story on page 5 of the latest issue of Connections magazine: https://issuu.com/rcumedia/docs/connections_spring_2024_web
