We’ve got some cool things brewin’ at our favorite spots in Roanoke & DC. For 2 decades, I’ve had a soft spot in my heart for Eighteenth Street Lounge in DC… the music, the people, the venue. 🤌
Showtime DC is a new fav after a recent rowdy good time w/ Leon City Sounds & a healthy dose of latin beats. Honored to be joined by Crown Vic Jim Thomson who is famous for a million reasons like his label Electric Cowbell & all his Multiflora events & his bands like Time Is Fire, Bio Ritmo, Gwar, CSC Funk Band & Alter-Natives. Whew!
Got a pop up record market at Golden Cactus Brewing we’ll be selling, giving away, & also playing vinyl throughout. Props to Bonkers for setting it up!
Also setting up a jazzy hip-hop speakeasy & listening lounge on Campbell on the edge of downtown. It’ll be open on Friday nights. DM if you want the info. Space is limited.
Come snag an espresso martini or *holy-refreshing* mocktail at Sidecar on (almost) any Saturday we aren’t off galavanting in another city. Word! - JG

Big news! Camilo Lara (Mexican Institute of Sound) and Sergio Mendoza (Calexico / Orkesta Mendoza), both from the fourth record we released, are on the epic soundtrack to the new film on Prime Video. What a lovely job by everyone involved!

We’re honored to have been asked to cover the classic Mamas & The Papas song “California Dreamin’” for the movie ‘A Million Miles Away’, out now. Our rendition is a combination of Spanish and English, featuring vocals by Brian Lopez Music.

¡Tumbao! is a high-energy Latin Fusion band formed by 9 seasoned musicians from various genres and backgrounds that creates a sound reflecting the many flavors of Latin America & the world. ¡Tumbao! offers a taste of , , , Latin-Rock, R&B, Psychedelic, and Brass.

Cinémathèque was formed in , in 2011. Since its founding, the goal of the band has been to provide an outlet for producing and performing a wide array of cinematic music. Niche genres, especially surf rock, exotica, spaghetti westerns, , latin rhythms, and Ethiopian jazz, serve as the band’s main influences. Stimulator Jones from Stones Throw Records is on drums!

Spark Arrester of Boogieburg, Star City Soul Club, & Ubiquity Records will DJ latin records for door time and between the bands!
