Are you getting excited about our benefit compilation? It's called "For Ukraine" and tomorrow we will release Volume One via Bandcamp! Want a sneak peek at the full lineup? Let me know! Meanwhile, here's a teaser from a track by Lights & Motion, titled "Forest".
Here's more from Christoffer Franzén:
“I am absolutely devastated for the people of Ukraine and for what they are going through. When I was asked by Hollie Kenniff about possibly contributing a song for a benefit compilation in order to raise funds and awareness together with other artists, I immediately said yes. Music has always been my own refuge, and my thoughts are with everyone who has been affected by this terrible situation.”
Here comes another teaser from the upcoming benefit compilation which we are targeting to release this Friday via Bandcamp! This one is from a track titled "7.83" by Gailes - that's Thomas Meluch (aka Benoît Pioulard) and Rafael Anton Irisarri! More to come!
Some words from the duo on the piece:
"The first two minutes of '7.83' (so named for the frequency of Earth’s vibration) are a raw field recording of the shelling of Kyiv, sent to us by a listener who is in the very center of the violence and uncertainty. The remainder of the piece is a howling breath surrounded by heaviness, our primary motivation being a deep admiration for those in Ukraine using everything they have — both literally and figuratively — to resist injustice and maintain sovereignty in the face of sadistic, autocratic forces."
It's finally time to announce the ambient benefit compilation for which I have teamed up with Hollie Kenniff! The first volume is nearly finished, lovingly mastered by Rafael Anton Irisarri, and we're striving to get it out to you by end of this week (via HC Bandcamp)! We've got a fantastic lineup with a diverse representation of artists - you will not be disappointed! More details soon, but for now, here's a teaser from one of the tracks, by Goldmund, titled "Cover".
More from Keith (Goldmund):
"I am happy to do my small part in contributing a track to a compilation in order to help the Ukrainian people through a devastating moment in their history. The compilation will feature many other wonderful artists who have stepped forward to help raise funds and awareness."
