I initially made the pattern and continued to work on the sound itself and couldn’t get it to sound good at all but then added a frequency shifter on the fx chain and the tune pretty much wrote itself after that." - Dala

This track came to life when Blankface sent SVGMAZE Reason samples on Discord for him to use in FL Studio. The goal was to tame a balance of riddim & tearout in an eerie atmosphere. Soon their sounds combined created the dark, evil and heavy sounds that define "Gundown".

The main inspiration for "Death Machine" derived from "Chaos" by MUST DIE. I always wanted to make a drop that had the same kind of structure but with more of a tearout vibe. When he released the stems for it I attempted to remix it but couldn't make my drop idea work with the rest of the track. After nearly giving up, I decided to remove all of the Chaos elements and start from scratch. After that, "Death Machine" was born! - Exille
