Bandwidth Digital Releasing is a distribution and exhibition organization for Indigenous and under-represented film creators to promote the availability of their features, short fiction and documentary films. Bandwidth develops projects and distributes content digitally while also operating a traveling pop-up movie theatre bringing Indigenous and first-run films to First Nation communities across the country.

JOB POSTING: PRODUCERS’ ASSISTANT – ‘LITTLE BIRD’
Term and Start Date: 18-month contract, Immediate Salary: Commensurate with experience

An Indigenous-led dramatic limited series, which has been ordered for Production is seeking an Indigenous Producers’ Assistant.

The Producers’ Assistant’s main role is to assist and support the Producers from pre-production through post-production by expediting/coordinating production related items. This position offers an excellent opportunity for aspiring producers. In the early stages of pre-production it will be a remote position, then become an on-site, in person role.

Key Job Responsibilities:
• Support the Producers’ in day-to-day activities, assist in production errands and tasks;
• Participate and take minutes for all production meetings and send out to the team in a timely
manner;
• Responsible for scheduling all Producer meetings, travel and accommodations;
• Organize and maintain the Producers’ digital reference and file repository;
• Manage Internal Tracking Database: Ensure internal tracking tools and lists for review are up to
date;
• Assist in other Producer related activities as required
Qualifications:
• Self-starter
• Multi-tasker with the ability to coordinate and follow-through on various production-related
tasks
• Strong communicator - both verbal and written skills;
• Experience meeting tight deadlines, prioritizing work with a keen attention to detail
• Excellent administrative skills and good working knowledge of Word, Excel, G-Suite (e.g. Google
docs), Zoom Admin, etc.)
• Must have the ability to work efficiently and under pressure
• Understanding of the pace and production process of episodic television
• Familiarity with Production terms, paperwork and processes
• Has a cell phone and high-speed internet and valid drivers license
• Willing to work non-conventional hours
Nice to Have:
• Candidates from Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec preferred
• Bilingualism (French and English) would be an asset
