As we close off our year, we want extend a huge thank-you to The Landing Studio for all their fantastic work interviewing artists and documenting our exhibitions, special projects, and events. They have done some really incredible work and have been a pleasure to work with this year!

We’re thrilled to finally see the Cruisin' the Market 2025 Calendar brought to life!

A big thank you to Great West Auto Electric for producing this amazing calendar. Brandon Wiebe Graphic did some great work on the design. Of course, a huge shoutout to the Rogue Cruisers for hosting such a fantastic car show.

It was an honour for us at The Landing Studio to capture these stunning cars and be part of this community project. Maybe 1 day my 72' Buick Skylark will be finished and in the lineup downtown!

Maple Creek, we need your help!

The Landing Studio will be in town for Celebrate Maple Creek on August 17th, and we'd like to get some photos and videos at the Maple Creek Golf Club and the skate/splash park.

We plan for 30 minutes at the golf course and 30 minutes at the spray/skate park.

Proud to be a part of this web project alongside Town of Gull Lake and Lindsay Alliban. We never tire of the inspiration that comes from a collaborative team working together towards a meaningful goal. We love being apart of economic development projects and having the opportunity to put our local communities and regions in the shining spotlight they deserve!

GULL LAKE ONLINE VENTURE STEALS THE SPOTLIGHT WITH SASKATCHEWAN ACCOLADE
A Gull Lake-based project has been recognized for its ingenuity and awarded because of it.

The Gull Lake and Rural Regional Alliance, which involves both the RM and Town of Gull Lake, the RM of Webb, and the RM of Carmichael, received the Marketing Innovation Award from the Saskatchewan Economic Development Alliance.

Specifically, the project that landed them this accolade was the Invest Gull Lake website ( www.InvestGullLake.com ) . A portal that argues the advantageous position of the area, being located not only on the Trans-Canada Highway but also along a major railway line operated by CPKC.

Lindsay Alliban, (pictured accepting the award on behalf of everyone involved in the project) economic development officer for the Town of Gull Lake, was glad to accept this award that validates their efforts and props up the strength of the idea behind the website.

"It's actually pretty exceptional that we won it," said Alliban. "It does seem like a small piece of what we're trying to do, but when you start to talk to other municipalities and communities who aren't working collaboratively and coming up with new ways to draw people to their area, it really puts into perspective how much work we've done."

By combining their strengths, they are able to present a greater picture to potential parties. This helps to entice business owners, families, and other interested people to the community, prompting both economic and population growth for the region.

''I'm hopeful that it keeps our momentum going, that people understand that it's important and that we should keep investing in trying to promote the region," said Alliban. "We do lots of interesting things, and we have lots of interesting conversations with other organizations provincially."

Alliban and others from the Gull Lake and Rural Regional Alliance are open to discussing their success in this online venture with other communities and hope to see others follow the trail they have blazed.

"Hopefully this award gives us that recognition and shows that we do quality work," said Alliban. "We have a quality plan and people can trust in that."

This project is unlike anything we have produced! We were given a script by the talented and creative Wendy Lockman who directed this project as well. The rest of the staff were Innovation volunteers and did so well for a relatively complex performance!

When the script first hit our inbox, a vision started to form for how this piece could look and feel. Do you see where the inspiration came from? If you thought the movie "Elf" then you are correct.
