Today I had the opportunity to attend the 49x110 conference organized by Tourism Swift Current with presenters from Tourism Saskatchewan and hosted at the Living Sky Casino. During round table discussion, an attendee at our table (who had a wealth of historical knowledge) described a Saskatchewan that was once laughed at for even mentioning tourism, look how far we’ve come! We may not have Rocky Mountains or Niagara Falls, but what we do have here is special and being developed and discovered in amazing ways.

We have the privilege of capturing the natural beauty, adventure, and attractions that Saskatchewan has to offer. Saskatchewan has something for everyone, you just have to go out and find it.

Thanks to everyone who attended the event, all presenters, and organizers for supporting. It was a good day 🙂

Today, and every day, we celebrate our incredible planet. Let's continue to care for it, protect it, and pass it on, better than we found it.

The Landing Studio captured this footage for the & annual "Go Green" initiative in September of 2024, where a group of volunteers takes on the initiative to beautify our city.

Last year, we had the chance to work with Cypress Hills - Grasslands Destination Area on a photo and video project that took us to a number of communities across the region. It gave us a chance to explore new places, meet great people, and document some of the landscapes and events that make this part of the province so special.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing pieces of that journey.

We’re starting in Val Marie, where we visited The Crossing at Grasslands, captured scenes of the native prairie, toured the historic grain elevator, and took in the rodeo. Looking forward to sharing more photo/video soon.

Good Job Arcade invited us all to do something we often forget as adults: play.

Teresa Tam's exhibition transformed the gallery into an interactive arcade space, where visitors of all ages could explore, participate, and reflect.

We had the opportunity to capture the exhibition and its reception through both photo and video, and one thing stood out—how naturally people connected with the space. Whether they were laughing, thinking, or simply playing it was joyful.

It’s always a privilege to work with the Swift Current Art Gallery! Looking forward to what's next!

Exciting news! The Landing Studio is proud to announce the launch of the brand-new website for the Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation. As a cornerstone of the Swift Current community, the Foundation has long been dedicated to strengthening local healthcare, and we were honoured to partner with them on a complete rebrand.

Their new identity reflects both where the Foundation has been and where it’s going. The redesigned logo pays tribute to their history while embracing a fresh, modern look that represents their ongoing commitment to the community. Along with an updated colour palette and a user-friendly website, this transformation makes it easier than ever to connect with their mission, get involved, and support healthcare initiatives that make a real difference.

We’re thrilled to finally see the Cruisin' the Market 2025 Calendar brought to life!

A big thank you to Great West Auto Electric for producing this amazing calendar. Brandon Wiebe Graphic did some great work on the design. Of course, a huge shoutout to the Rogue Cruisers for hosting such a fantastic car show.

It was an honour for us at The Landing Studio to capture these stunning cars and be part of this community project. Maybe 1 day my 72' Buick Skylark will be finished and in the lineup downtown!

Proud to be a part of this web project alongside Town of Gull Lake and Lindsay Alliban. We never tire of the inspiration that comes from a collaborative team working together towards a meaningful goal. We love being apart of economic development projects and having the opportunity to put our local communities and regions in the shining spotlight they deserve!

GULL LAKE ONLINE VENTURE STEALS THE SPOTLIGHT WITH SASKATCHEWAN ACCOLADE
A Gull Lake-based project has been recognized for its ingenuity and awarded because of it.

The Gull Lake and Rural Regional Alliance, which involves both the RM and Town of Gull Lake, the RM of Webb, and the RM of Carmichael, received the Marketing Innovation Award from the Saskatchewan Economic Development Alliance.

Specifically, the project that landed them this accolade was the Invest Gull Lake website ( www.InvestGullLake.com ) . A portal that argues the advantageous position of the area, being located not only on the Trans-Canada Highway but also along a major railway line operated by CPKC.

Lindsay Alliban, (pictured accepting the award on behalf of everyone involved in the project) economic development officer for the Town of Gull Lake, was glad to accept this award that validates their efforts and props up the strength of the idea behind the website.

"It's actually pretty exceptional that we won it," said Alliban. "It does seem like a small piece of what we're trying to do, but when you start to talk to other municipalities and communities who aren't working collaboratively and coming up with new ways to draw people to their area, it really puts into perspective how much work we've done."

By combining their strengths, they are able to present a greater picture to potential parties. This helps to entice business owners, families, and other interested people to the community, prompting both economic and population growth for the region.

''I'm hopeful that it keeps our momentum going, that people understand that it's important and that we should keep investing in trying to promote the region," said Alliban. "We do lots of interesting things, and we have lots of interesting conversations with other organizations provincially."

Alliban and others from the Gull Lake and Rural Regional Alliance are open to discussing their success in this online venture with other communities and hope to see others follow the trail they have blazed.

"Hopefully this award gives us that recognition and shows that we do quality work," said Alliban. "We have a quality plan and people can trust in that."
