The first amazing Dance tune of 2017 has landed Eric Prydz you never, ever fail to deliver 🙌❤️
Sasha - Track 10
Happy new year .. hope it's a good one, a kind one and a successful one for you <3 ** My Top Ten Dance tunes of 2016 ** What a year for club music it's been .... here's my pick of the very best ... 10) Mark Knight - Yebisah One of the two biggest tunes of Ibiza in 2016. Mark's tribute to the White Isle soared in all the right places.. 9) Alex Newell, Jess Glynne with Nile Rodgers - Kill the Lights (Dimitri From Paris Remix) Dimitri delivered a sterling remix on an all star lineup. One of the very best Disco workouts of the year 8) Eats Everything & Green Velvet – The Duster Gnarly as fook, this Tech House banger stutters and grinds about the place in a way that caught my ear in a big way back in April. And what an amazing 2016 for Eats Everything! He's fast becoming the DJ's DJ and the next 12 months can only be brighter 7) Eric Prydz - Collider As soon as I heard this on Eric's “Opus” album this year I knew it was the stand out track for me. As always with Eric it's all about big melodies and those strings reminded me of Sound Crowd Official at their peak 6) High Contrast – Remind Me I've always had a soft spot for this guy's amazing productions, The magic in this track is the clever use of an Aretha Franklin vocal sample that warms the soul. A gorgeous tune. 5) Jay Kay, Gary Tuohy & Phil Maher - Unite This should have been 10 times bigger than it was this year. Hopefully a major label picks this up for a 2017 re-release. Proper Summer House with a big dirty smile 4) Kolsch – Grey: It's telling that the only recent track included on the new Pete Tong Classics live show is this one. This guy is going to be Eric Prydz sized big in 2017. 3) Jay Kay and Phil Maher - Yeah Alright Another Piano House anthem – this was a big favourite with Fatboy Slim all year and its not hard to hear why. A tune I chose to open my first Soundcloud mix in 18 months with this Summer, and with good reason ;) Old school meets new for a gloriously happy vibe.

George Michael - Live at the RDS Dublin 6-6-2007
George Michael - Live at the RDS Dublin - 6th of June 2007 I've tried to start this post 4 times now because I want a tribute that will do this amazing man justice. So it's probably best to let his music speak for itself, with some of my thoughts on each song. Here are my favourite George Michael tracks .... All of Wham's debut album "Fantastic" with plenty of hidden Pop gems like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bfwG2o07IU The joy in George's voice 2 mins 3 seconds into Wham's "Freedom" when he brings his voice up an octave singing "but you know that I would *give* you" https://youtu.be/BFwOs-jy53A?t=200 His entire MTV Unplugged session, but "The Long And Winding Road" deserves a special mention https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJifw6Kej2s All of Listen Without Prejudice Vol 1 - expecially "Heal The Pain" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2-SLaeGWfY His amazing duet with Aretha Franklin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDxzQJaA228 Amazing duet #2 - with Mary J Blige https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDxzQJaA228 His 25 million copy selling Faith album with tunes like "Father Figure", "Kissing A Fool" and "One More Try" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bG5N3GC-m20 Every single second of "Fast Love" - one of the first Pop songs I can remember listening to on headphones and hearing something new in it months later. It is incredibly well crafted https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bG5N3GC-m20 Also His introduction to his friend on "Dont Let The Sun Go Down On Me" .... "Ladies and gentlemen - mister ELTON JOHN!" The perfect slow set song - Careless Whisper The beautiful "Like A Baby" track https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6DxGeEnNYn0 Too Funky His cover of "I Cant Make You Love Me" The huge controversy of the "I Want Your Sex" video Waiting For That Day https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VVyakAPCPM His iconic Christmas song My favourite part of Band Aid will always be his voice coming in His biggest club tune - Flawless (Go To The City) My second fav

Tong at 25
A show celebrating 25 years of Sir Pete Tong has just started NOW (9pm GMT - Tuesday) on BBC Radio 1 -- if you read this tomorrow or after it's aired it will be here for the next 30 days --> http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b085z33j Tong looks back at his career so far, with the help of some of the people who have played a part in his journey. Joined by Sasha, Chase & Status, Goldie and Kölsch, Pete talks the 'firsts' - from his very first show on Radio 1, to the launch of the Essential Mix, which was the UK's first mix show, to the first Ibiza broadcast and the first plays of some iconic tracks. I would make a strong argument to say he has been the most influential DJ in Europe .. ever. And in the top 5 worldwide. “The original, the don, the boss, the legend, the master, the house, the music, the president, the prime minister of dance music, the king, the top dog…PETE TONG!” <3 __________________ BBC Radio 1 Dance Music Annie Mac

Carl Cox - Space Is The Place
This looks fantastic - "Carl Cox - Space Is The Place" comes to Channel 4 November 30th As per the press release: "The 45-minute documentary, a collaboration between RA and Channel 4, follows Cox across the 2016 season in Ibiza, from the Music Is Revolution opening in June through to the closing in September. It offers a behind-the-scenes perspective on a pivotal moment in clubbing history, and a window into Cox's life, inside and outside the DJ booth. It's the story of a clubbing icon coming to terms with the next phase of his career, and of a clubbing island facing up to an uncertain future. Space, the club that was home to Cox's Music Is Revolution party, shut for good in October of 2016. The closure marked the end of an era for Cox, but also for Ibiza, which lost one of its best-loved venues at a time when VIP culture looms ever-larger over the scene. The film will premiere at 12:05 AM on Channel 4. It will then be available to watch on 4oD and Resident Advisor from December 2nd" Trailer here ..... _______________________ Resident Advisor Carl Cox Carl Cox at Space Ibiza Ibiza Calling Ibiza Club News IBIZA SONICA RADIO

BT - Ω
In 1995 I listened to BT's debut album - "Ima" - and I knew I was hearing something groundbreaking. It sampled nature, it had tracks spanning over 10 minutes, it sounded like no other Dance album before, it had glorious Sasha remixes. At the time it was my favourite Dance album ever. Then along came Daft Punk's "Homework" and "Random Access Memories" to give it a run for it's money. And now - 21 years later - comes BT's 10th album ("Untitled" or "_" on some platforms) and it's the first Dance artist album Ive heard since "Random Access Memories" that really stands out as an Electronica masterpiece Having followed his progress with it on Facebook over the last while - it's clear that he's put his absolute heart and soul into this. It was recorded in various studios across all 7 continents using Fruity Loops Studio as his main Digital Audio Workstation and the videos that go with the tracks are as much a feast for the eyes as the music is for the ears Last night I streamed it on Spotify and a couple of times found myself saying "Faaaacking hell" at some of the wonderful things I was hearing It's an amazing album. And definitely one for the headphones. This is modern day Classical music from a Dance music genius Check the various ways to stream it here https://bt.choons.at/_ (PS - if streaming on Spotify make sure "Shuffle" is turned off, otherwise things will sound very confusing ;) ) Below is the third "movement" from the album, titled "Ω" - and if you've read this far give it some patience, it takes about 3 mins to really kick in .... but when it does .... Phwoarrrr! <3 (y) Take a bow BT -- you are back to your very best ________________________ Black Hole Recordings Brian Transeau
