The timeline at the bottom represents the beginning of the film up to the moment of Breakup. The small section full of yellow dots is the next Batch, #14.

The rendering began on March 3rd and has been continuing 24 hours per day since.

I've included another couple shots that I've been animating since.

Spent about 3 hours this morning getting all the ambient sounds put into the timeline for the footage that has rendered off so far. I've been playing around with altering certain effects to get softer and louder depending on the camera proximity to the ship. (all the green in the timeline are audio effects) - Phillip

I get asked "When will the real-time be finished" a lot since I announced I was working on one. For a bit of transparency...I've been rendering the Real Time for about 3 weeks now and it's currently starting minute 11:49pm. That is 3 weeks for 11 minute of footage. This is why it takes a long time for big projects to be released. I've probably only spent a total of 10 hours animating those minutes in the past three weeks, the rest of that time has been spent rendering.

There is currently no ETA on the full completion because the render time varies from shot to shot, how much of the model is visible, how close the camera is, etc etc. It makes it difficult to give a true ETA. But for comparison I'll throw up a few other big projects:

2019 Titanic Real Time - 2hr 45m of footage, 1.5yrs to render
2020 Lusitania Real Time - 19m of footage, 1 month to render
2021 Gustloff Real Time - 55m of footage, 1.5 months to render (went ridiculously fast)

I've toyed around with EEVEE to make it faster, but the quality just isn't up to the standards I set for myself. If each video isn't more complex and better looking than my previous video it's my personal standard to not do the video. This one will be the most complex and best looking one I've done, and it will be out done by the next video I work on.

I'll be streaming in the morning working on animating characters at my normal time 9am EST if you want to come watch

IMPORTANT CHANNEL UPDATE, PLEASE READ:

In the past 24 hours this channel as received a copyright strike. These are different from claims. Strikes last for 90 days, and if you get 3 of them within a 90 day period the channel is deleted automatically by YouTube. The material in question was an image of a shell plating plan during one of my live streams in 2021. I've currently stayed up to nearly 4 AM removing all the potentially other offending videos in order to save the channel from possible deletion. All of the important videos from the channel have been downloaded and I am currently in the process of creating and uploading them to a back up channel. When that channel is created, and if you would like to stay around for future videos, I ask that you please subscribe to that channel in case the worst comes to this one and it is removed.

To the copyright claimant, I would have easily removed the videos in question from the channel if you had asked me to. I am not unreasonable, as I have removed things before from the channel when I've been asked to do so. Resorting to a copyright strike is a harsh and last resort on this platform. Again, this could have been resolved peacefully.

Where is the future for me? Don't even know to be honest. I have enough money to pay my bills this month, but after that I don't know. I run the risk of losing the health insurance that I recently just acquired to take care of my eye. That's my big priority at the moment.

My business email is: [email protected] if you would or are even interested in speaking on the matter.

I hope the channel still around when I wake up in the morning, if not I will keep everything updated on my Discord and Twitter.

Animation Time: couple hours
Render Time: 'bout a week

Just to give you an idea of the level of animation that we have planned for the docudrama “Titanic: Death of an Olympian”. Please note that this footage is not the final product.

The day and night lighting are yet to be tested; all smoke and water physics are yet to be tested; 3D animated main, secondary and background historical characters are yet to be made.

There is much more planned but no use spoiling the surprise. When will this project be finished? No idea. But it will happen. I’m determined to see it through. For now, research and writing the script…
