It honestly doesn't hurt unless the bandages shift and the gauze sticks. But there's still a good amount of bad skin that needs to go and a decent sized area that is still at risk for infection. But it's healing pretty quick.

I've been awake since 4 am
My whole arm itches from the bandages.
I keep thinking, I don't know how I'm gonna get anything done with my arm wrapped up like this. I can't cook dinners hardly at all. I've gotta avoid getting my bandages wet so even going to the bathroom is tricky. I can't really drive door dash like this. I definitely can't donate plasma again until it's all healed. I can't afford to not get that extra income in.
I don't know what to do right now.

Sometimes it sucks that the universe takes such a personal stake in our affairs. I've been burning the candle at both ends for at least a month and desperately needed to take time to rest. Sooooo now I'm hurt and can't do anything but rest.
Magic always comes with a price, I'm just hoping that whatever this is paying for is a good deal and comes quickly.

After a trip to the AZ burn center, I've got a whole new bag of mummy wrappings, a tub of antibiotic cream, and an appointment to go back in a couple more days.

Well this happened last night... Be careful with chemicals guys, especially when you aren't 100% sure what it is.

Long story short I have a massive chemical burn going from my right hand down my arm to my arm pit.
We were cleaning a wall for work and the sprayer leaked very aggressive degreaser down my arm.

One trip to the ER later and now I'm part mummy and I've gotta go to the burn center to get it checked out.

Hey there strangers,
I know it's been a while since I've posted anything. Honestly, I just haven't had anything to share that isn't the same as something I've shared a million times at this point. Boys are being boys, garden is gardening, work is work, and I've been getting far less sleep than I probably should be. Yeah, I've watched some new shows and played the new Zelda game, but that's about all that's really changed in the last 4 months.
Even in the last few episodes I've felt like I haven't had anything new or entertaining to share with y'all in some time. It's just been a lot of the same thing over and over. Even when I've had the time to sit down and record a new episode, I haven't really had anything that I've been really excited to talk about.
I still love podcasting, and I love sharing stories and rants,but lately I just feel like I don't have anything worth sharing and you deserve better than what I've had to give.
At this point I really think that the end of the podcast may be near. I'm not saying I'm quitting outright. I still want to continue podcasting, but I don't know if I can continue doing this show the way I have been. (Or haven't been doing lately.)
In the past I did a season of guests. For all my introversion, I really enjoyed getting to have this conversations, and that's something that I would really like to do more of. But that also is something that takes significantly more work to do and a real application of my editing skills.
I've done 346 episodes over the last 7½ years. Pretty impressive for a show that mainly consists of me ranting about random bu****it. But honestly, I want to make something that provides more value than that.
If you've made it this far and you care to do so, let me know what you'd like to hear from me. I've been thinking about talking to podcasters and maybe YouTubers or other creators but super casual, much like my previous "interviews." Just getting to know them as people more than just content creators.
Just thoughts. My next episode post will probably be after I make some kind of decision and make moves towards that new show plan.

My new smoker and my first cook.
I did a mesquite smoked chicken breast with simply seasoned gold potatoes. I served it up with a caprese salad
It was definitely a learning experience. I know for sure that I need to get larger logs for the fire box, and I definitely need to cook a lot more at a time to justify the amount of time it takes to cook anything on a smoker..
This is a meal that I will absolutely be doing again and hopefully perfecting my seasonings as I attempt to tackle things like brisket and turkey.
