“My Blue Anglia”, the ace 45 from Finnish indiepop legends Cessna, is ready for the road again! Originally released by Fantastic Records in 1998, the recordings have been remastered by for digital by longtime Cessna collaborator Mikko Ojanen (aka “Mikko Hammond” on the original 7”) of Nu Science. As a bonus, the digital EP includes the 1995 version of the title track, as once heard on the McBain cassette that came with Min Liu’s Runaway Balloon zine.

Who knew that referencing the album on a single’s artwork violated Apple Music’s policies? The upshot is that Mikko Ojanen gets his name in bright lights on planet Apple. And it’s high time: Mikko has appeared on nearly every Cessna release since the beginning and his group Nu Science’s mix of Cessna’s “Time Ticks Away” (when will this be re-released?!) is one of Cessna’s finest moments. Mikko’s lovingly-produced remaster of “Bordeaux” will be streaming everywhere on June 16th. Until then, here’s a small taster in some fresh artwork. Enjoy!
