SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son and President-elect Donald Trump announced a $100 billion investment in US tech projects over the next four years during a press conference in Florida. The investment, focusing on artificial intelligence projects and related infrastructure, is expected to create 100,000 jobs for the US economy. This marks their second collaboration, following a 2016 pledge where SoftBank committed $50 billion and 50,000 jobs. During the conference, Trump playfully suggested increasing the investment to $200 billion, to which Son responded he would try. President-elect Donald Trump has announced his intention to end daylight saving time (DST), calling it inconvenient and costly for Americans. DST involves moving clocks forward one hour in spring and back in autumn, and is observed in one-third of countries worldwide. While some advocate for ending DST citing health benefits and improved sleep cycles, others support making it permanent for benefits like reduced crime and accidents. The practice began in the US in 1918, became permanent in 1966, though states could opt out, with Hawaii and most of Arizona currently not observing it.

A woman has amended a lawsuit against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs to include allegations that Jay-Z (Shawn Carter) also sexually assaulted her at a party following the 2000 VMAs when she was 13 years old. The woman, identified as Jane Doe, claims she became woozy after consuming a drink and was assaulted by both Carter and Combs.
