The film production company Elokuvaosuuskunta Siperia was founded in 1998 by seven Finnish film makers: Ville Grönroos, Iiris Saaren-Seppälä, Lauri Vänskä, Jukka Tuominen, Ville Väänänen, Heikki Veijola and Matti Reinikka, who shared the same BA hons studies in Lahti Institute of Design, at the faculty of Film and TV Production.
