You may recall a previous episode with The Farmlink Project where we chatted about rescuing food from farms to feed those in need. I absolutely loved their story - college kids identifying a food waste problem, a hunger problem, and a solution… especially during a global pandemic! They just released a 23 minute doc about their origin story and continued operation and I 100% recommend it. I felt so inspired watching it. Check it out!

Fresh Coast is a climate consulting company focused on bold solutions and transformative action in various areas such as carbon and climate, water, biodiversity, cleantech, and ESG. From going carbon neutral or net zero to reducing scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, and so on. But What exactly are these emissions that they are talking about and how are they calculated? Today, Nick is going to explain all of that!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!☘️
Kicked off St. Pat’s week by hanging out with Mary Robinson, former and first female president of Ireland and former High Commissioner for Human Rights. She now continues to focus on human rights as well as climate justice. It was inspiring to hear her speak about Project Dandelion which seeks to address various climate injustices such as the injustice of the climate crisis disproportionately affecting the poorest countries and communities, gender injustice, intergenerational injustice, the injustice of different development pathways between developed and developing countries, and the injustice to nature. Thank you to for hosting Mary and setting up a student conversation with her! If you are interested in watching her full lecture, check out this link: https://record.umich.edu/articles/wege-lecturer-mary-robinson-ties-climate-crisis-to-injustice/
