Check out David Lance Callahan’s new single ‘The Spirit World’ on Bandcamp!
With a mood taken from Hilary Mantel's Beyond Black, David Lance Callahan describes the populace of an England of the mind, a fragrant idyll where it is forever a perfect spring 1960, aided and abetted by a sideshow combo feel starring regular drummer Daren Garratt, The Clientele's Mel Draisey on violin and harmonies, PJ Harvey's Terry Edwards as one-man Sally Army band, and Cathy Gerbrands on musical saw. The people are in a heaven – but are they living or dead?
‘Down To The Marshes’ is released on September 29th, and for a limited time you’ll receive a lyric booklet with your LP (or CD) featuring the beautiful art piece ‘The Wanderer’ by Kit Boyd.
If you’re in London you can go see David TOMORROW (Aug 14th) at the Lexington, opened by Stewart Lee! Tickets, however, are scarce.
Edinburgh folks will have a chance to catch him on September 6th at Leith Depot, with special guest, the amazing Helen McCookerybook!

NEW from HOUSE Of ALL, the doom-encroaching track ‘Murmuration’ taken from their forthcoming album ‘Continuum’.
When this track debuted a year ago on the first ever HOA U.K. tour, it was an immediate favourite with fans. Its vaguely menacing air made it stand-out in the band’s live set. Thanks to Trust A Fox Photography for making a great video for it
Expect plentiful news and excitement coming over the next few weeks from HOA, more tracks from the new album are on their way shortly and the band have nine upcoming live dates across the U.K. in April
