That is so beautiful, overwhelming and it sound like a moral story. I'm crying

Yesterday I was on my jounery to Free State, the bus picked me at Witbank, inside the bus were people who came in as far as Nelspruit. Got to joburg changed buses, along the road the bus collected people, others off boarded. When I got to my destination I got off, leaving people whom I have found in the bus. Looking into their faces, they were not worried that I was off boarding. This reminded me that we all have our jounery in this life. Others their jounery will take longer due to the nature of their destinations, for others will be shorter because they are not travelling that far.

We are all heading somewhere, as predestined by our creator God, some of our peers, will get jobs earlier, get married earlier, some buy houses ealier. When this happens never be worried, nor be bitter because your destination is coming. Mind you my destination in free State does not have attractions, some of those I left in the bus were travelling to Cape Town.

Being in a bus for hours gets to be uncomfortable, however no ones decided to off board before arriving to his or her destination due to being uncomfortable. Do not quit on your jouney, stay, you are headed somewhere.

I arrived around 17:30, with sunlight and availability of public transports to my place was not a struggle, others I believe arrived midnight to their destination, others might have struggled to get transport to collect them from bus terminal to their homes or guest houses. I believe that the pain of them traveling for many hours and arriving late is less compared to the joy of arriving to their destinations.

In this life we have people who have resources, inheritance or connections to aid them succeed faster than others. If you do not have such do not think you will not succeed, for your life is predestined by God. Good things shall follow you, it does not matter how long it will take.

Allow others to off board. To their planned destination, continue enjoying your jounery at your own pace, while being grateful of the progress you've made this far.

You are headed somewhere.

Oh the infamous Valentine's season where everyone is anointed and burdened for the singles......
Maybe it's the algorithm or my specific timeline and list of friends because y' all ain't got nothing to say to single men? Pursuit of women, preparing for healthy relationship, 5 things she should do to prepare, 10 things she should Wear..... It must be that my timeline filters it out because there are more than enough resources telling me as an engaged men what I should and should not do.

I'm not mad at ( some) the advice..... I just think that single men have the opportunity to be well or over educated and our counterparts are well.... Just kicking it.....but maybe that's just me.

Note: I am hopeful romantic. I swoon at all the pics of love and I look forward to butterflies & giggles for myself too. I celebrate black love, Asian love, mixed love, puppy's love, budding crushes and decades Long love. Y ' all just sometimes go hard to one sides for the advice column to the single men

I still remember financial mathematics in high school

Here is an example of the difference between Capital Gains Tax and Income Tax.

Lets say Mpho and Lerato have both made a profit of R100 000.

Mpho is a long term holder. She made this R100 000 from selling her shares that she held for 4 years - her gain is therefore a capital gain.

Lerato is a trader. She made this R100 000 from the very quick buy and sell of shares. Her gain is therefore of a revenue nature.

They have the same tax rate of 18%.

Capital Gains Tax (CGT) impacts:

- The first R40 000 of the gain is excluded. This is an exclusion that is specific to CGT. This amount (R40 000) is the same for all individuals. This exclusion is on total capital gains, per individual.

- The gain that is left after removing the exclusion is then included in taxable income at 40%. This is called the inclusion rate. This is also the same for everyone. This can change from tax year to tax year. The current inclusion rate of 40% is for the 2020/2021 tax year.

- The "included gain" will then be taxed at 18%, which in this example is Mpho's tax rate.

- The tax payable on the initial R100 000 gain is thus R4 320.

Income tax:

- The profit of R100 000 is taken as is and taxed at Lerato's tax rate of 18%.

-The tax payable on the R100 000 is thus R18 000.

This is a basic example of CGT vs Income tax. I will build on this example to introduce other things like rebates etc. This examples assumes that both Mpho and Lerato have no other income.

The jist of this example is for you to see CGT vs income tax impacts.

Does this mean trading is bad? Of course NOT. It is just to say, beware of the tax consequences and do not be caught off guard after filing the return.

The next post will address steps that you can take to achieve tax efficiency.
